I think she's great with dynamics but sometimes her tone can be harsh.
Another thing, if you compare her to someone like Sam (not Bailey, the one from this season) there's a huge difference in vocal attack; Louisa sang clean nearly all the time, whereas with Sam (and even this year's Matt) there's a great deal of cracking at the beginning of notes because they're good but they're not great at transitioning between registers.
But like Leona, Alexandra, Matt or any of them, they all have weaknesses. I had singing training, but they're in a league I can only imagine in terms of how good they all are. At the same time, it's fair if you don't think she's great. But I'd say maybe listen to that Labyrinth cover and see if you can see what I mean.”
Labyrinth isn't the greatest singer in the industry by any means, but he puts more emotion into Jealous than just loud booming vocals that Louisa does in my view, as I've already said I think that she could get better when she's older as proper vocal coaches will get a hold of her I reckon and train the horrible habits out of her, but on the show she never should've won just purely off the volume of her voice.
And with Sam Lavery I think there's a few differences already here, the main thing is that it's alot harder for someone in their teens to go into an alternative sounding Music (especially Rock) than it is for someone to do loud booming Diva sounds, and I also do feel that Sam did try to sing subtle in most weeks, in particular she did it really well during Hello, what's hurting Sam and vocal coaches will need to get a hold of her if she gets signed to any label after the show and tell her not to abuse the loud Rock notes so much and not put it in places where it's not needed, it's actually impressive that she can do the notes at such a young age, but she needed experienced vocal coaches to tell her when to use it.
And with Matt Terry it's simple with him, I think that he needs to completely drop the falsetto as he can't do it, it sounds painful every single time that he attempts it, the best avenue for Matt imo is Modelling, I just don't think that his a singer in the slightest.
