At the beginning of Eastenders on Monday, Louise was in her school uniform with her tie on, as was Bex, but later on in the episode, Louise wasn't wearing her school tie any more.

Continuity error or would the director have asked her to take it off?

Not really a continuity error if it was later in the episode. If it was the same scene it would be a different story

I looked at the ep. When she had her tie on, it was the start of the day and when it was off, it was in the evening

We always took off our school uniforms when we got home from school.

I was more confused as to why Louise was asking Shakil to send her a Snapchat back, when she was 'snapchatting him' on the regular camera app.

Maybe the actress was told not to wear it for the scene so she took it off?

It'd likely be deemed as Product Placement if they showed the SnapChat app on EastEnders-you never see anyone use Google, Facebook etc in any of the British soaps.

I did think that but in another scene, Louise showed Bex the video of Shakil, you can briefly see that she's on the Snapchat app with only 1-2 people added.

It was just weird how when Louise took the video it was so obviously on the normal camera app when they could've filmed it so you couldn't see the phone Earlier this year Sharon called Grant on the 'Notes' app

Would it have said in the script the character was tie-less?

The character Louise is a big fat error, medicore weak actress who comes across as some Freaky Friday parody, a sulky teen that has been body swapped with an adult.

Hard to say, some writers will give very specific stage directions, some won't. Equally some directors will be very precise, others will lrave it to actors.

I don't se a school tie changing as a continuity error unless it happenned withon a scene. I was hardly the biggest rebel at school but I used to change out of my official shoes to trainers to travel to and from school, virtually as soon as I was out of the house. Girls didn't wear ties at my school but boys would loosen them, or take them off every chance they got.
