Better episode tonight, and no crazy camera work or loud music.

Poor Roxy and Phil their Xmas is going to suck this year.

And bunhead's too if he doesn't finally get his end away. This story's been rumbling for months now.

Take out the stupid pantomime stuff with Cassandra Trotter and the awkwardness over the missing charity money and the darts, you'd have had a great episode.

I think the way Phil's health storyline has been handled, especially seeing it from his view, from Sharon and from Louise was brilliant. I think Letita, Steve and Tilly deserve some credit for this. I know Phil feels he is not worthy of the transplant and has changed his mind for the sake of his kids and for the sake of Sharon who I reckon he does love deep down, but it's rather touching. The one to one counselling sessions, his exercises with the specialists - very poignant with Sharon talking about the death of Angie. All credit where credit is due on how this has been covered.

Stacey and Jayne - good little bond there, and Stacey has become really likeable. The aftermath of coping with a disability and frightened how the partner is going to cope especially their relationship and the physical side of it all. Adding to that, Jayne's insecurities. I am sure Ian does feel the same but can't find the words. His and Mick's conversation wasn't that crass, but it's a difficult situation caring for a disabled partner and a sex life is a difficult subject for those involved.

Shaki and Bex - it does highlight peer pressure, but sexiting especially the pictures as neither are 18 and can be done for it and the after effects it could have if the writers go down this route. Bex is wise, and she'd be better ditching him or basically be upfront and tell those kids at school I don't need to have sex to feel loved.

I don't care about the panto crap with Cassandra and Kathy. I do echo I would like Derek and Martin to meet up and talk about Pauline. Be a good nod to the past, as it's ten years since the character died this Christmas. I hate Jack and the effect it's having on R+R is boring me.

6/10 - I had to mark it down because of the panto and Jack controlling R+R's lives.

Wish they'd bring Micky Pierce in from OFAH and pair him up with Geraldine. What a great couple they'd make.

Is anyone else getting increasingly worried there is no Tree on the square this year. It's TRADITION for a tree to be in that square!

They should do a spinoff where some characters go on a hunt to find the perfect Christmas Tree for the square in the woods hehe.

I'm enjoying mature Stacey these days and they have done a great job redeeming the character after a horrendous year for her (the Stacey/Martin/Kush/Shabnam love square). I enjoy her friendship with Jane and they work well together and I admire Stacey for looking out for her. It's a pity that their friendship could be over when Max returns on Christmas Day.

I agree if they took out the crap non stories bins, pantos plays and dart playing the episodes would flow so much better.

That's the beauty of Lacey Turner she can work with anyone. I'm glad Stacey is going to be in the middle of the drama when Max returns.

0/10 Episode
10/10 MyLauren
0/10 MyCindy
10/10 MyTilly

Oh dear, it's not getting any better is it? The christmas play plot goes on... and on... and on. How many more scenes of Cassandra being a cow, then everyone having words about it in the Vic can they possibly get in before Christmas? 10? 30?

I love MyLauren dearly, but I would really prefer that she didn't leave my son in the care of McBeale and Murderous Stacey.

Not sure why the nasty sociopath McBeale is worried about her sex life, it's going to be hard to have sex from the confines of her cell. I suppose one of the other inmates might take a shine to her or something.

Louise is quality as always.

Thanks.

They only go to the woods to bury a body though. They'd all start digging out of habit. Apart from McBeale who doesn't bother with all that concealment nonsense.

The Large spike to be in the centre of the square in place of the Christmas tree

The only thing the huge yellow pile of excrement had got right in the 21st century is that he was not worthy of a transplant - but tonight we saw his true colours whining about not having salted nuts FFS.

Oh and while I am at it why has Jay forgiven him so quickly?

He should never speak to him again the way he has been treated over the years.

Or for that matter everyone else?

I don't give a shit if he is ill - bad people get poorly just as good people do (although most of the biggest scumbags seem to lead a charmed life in my experience).

The amount of characters fussing over him you would think that the man had been a saint - try asking Lisa - remember her TPTB?

No thought not.

Or any of the other people he so casually destroyed for his own sick amusement - or why not try asking Max?

It is all pointless anyway - he will be back attacking the kneecaps of massive muscular young gangsters/hardmen/villains very shortly.

We all know that (don't click if you don't like horror films).

I don't think they will be killed off as they are iconic in their own right as Mitchell Sisters. The characters do need a break from the show though but I can see both of them coming back at some point in the next 3-5 years. It's going to be an ending that viewers will see but characters don't.

And many have suffered at his hands...none more so than his own son. Those people won't get a second chance, the damage is permanent.
