WEEK 5 – ‘LET’S GO INDIE!’
This theme may be a challenge as some of you like your mainstream tracks, but this is a really good theme for your acts to make an impact as we quickly approach the final stages. All you need to do is select a song by an indie artist. No mainstream allowed! There's a lot of hidden gems out there so use them!
The fifth live show will take place on Monday 12th December 2016 at 5:45PM.
This is also the final show of acts singing one song, as we enter the quarter finals the week after and the remaining acts will perform two songs.

Ah yes, that's one of the themes I used for my games, it's a really good theme cause there is so much hidden potential in the world of Indie Music, you just gotta look real hard to find some good ones.

This theme could really be the making of your acts guys, if you pick a good song that is. If you've had an unknown track stored away, now might be the time to use it to get your act into the quarter finals.

I used Spotify in a game last year for Amelia Lily and ended up topping the vote

Hello and welcome to the fifth live show of The A* Factor!
Last week seen our Top 8 take on songs from movies in the theme ‘Lights, Camera, Action!’. Some performances were a hit at the box office but others flopped. With a double elimination looming, the acts fought hard for their place in the competition. However, it wasn’t enough for Niall Sexton who came bottom of the vote and therefore left the competition in 8th place. This left Janet Grogan and James Hughes to battle it out in the sing off, both appearing there for the first time. The judges opted to send Janet home 2-1 and as a result, she left the competition in 7th place.
Now onto this week, the remaining acts are taking on ‘LET’S GO INDIE!’. The acts have been working all week to perfect their performances and show you, the public, why they deserve a place in the quarter finals. Each of our remaining mentors have 2 acts left each, so it's sure to be an interesting show.

Again i didn't like this Relley. You seem to be one of the weaker acts left and this song didn't let us see your vocal ability

Relley, the start was great. It was full of energy and a real eye opener to what your potential is. Unfortunately, as it went on, the song didn't really go anyhwere or showcase your vocals or rapping, so it fell flat and I got bored
