However, that sadly means time is up for Danyal's boy Christian Burrows and he finishes in a respectable 4th place. He's done so well to get here, from being a randomly selected act, never appearing in the bottom two and now making the semi final! Well done to you Danyal.

Who wants the themes?

SHOW #7 - THE A* FACTOR FINAL THEMES

FLOOR FILLERS
This theme sees acts perform huge, powerful songs that will get us moving. Strong vocals with a catchy beat and you will be onto a winner here. No ballads allowed!

DUETS
A staple of a X Factor game final. Here, your act will duet with a guest artist of your choice on one of their songs. Don't forget to either put in a note saying who sings what parts or send lyric divisions.

MENTOR'S FAVOURITE
This theme has acts reprise a song from earlier in the series. Which song is up to you, my only advice is choosing wisely and picking the performance you think will rally the voters behind your act.

WINNERS SONG
This is by far the most important song choice of the series, as it decides whether an act wins or loses. This is a free choice theme, but logic has it that this song choice should suit your act and should warrant unlimited listens.

The show takes place on Tuesday 20th December 2016 at 5:30PM.

Lines will open after the duets and freeze shortly after. The 3rd act will be announced then.

Viewers, join us on Tuesday evening (20th December) for the GRAND FINAL of The A* Factor! A night full of music, celebrity duets and guests, crowning the winner of the first ever The A* Factor series and also those very interesting voting statistics! Some of you will be surprised with what you discover in those.

You don't want to miss it, I promise you!

Something has came up tonight which will prevent me from hosting later.

I've got three solutions:

1. Start the show at 4:00pm and hopefully have it done in time before I need to leave. (Unlikely though)

2. Move the final to tomorrow night.

3. Host Round One at around 5:00pm and I'll post the third placed act at around 10:00pm when I get back. The final then continues tomorrow evening with the two remaining acts. (Like a 2 part finale).

Let me know quickly judges on what you prefer and apologies for this, it is a busy time of year though but we will crown our champion today or tomorrow.

I think the third option would be the most realistic in the circumstances. And it means we won't have to delay the whole final like the second option.

It may also create more anticipation ahead of the second part.

We will start Part One of final at 4:30PM!

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to GRAND FINAL of The A* Factor!

We've gone through six long shows of performances, dramatic bottom twos, double eliminations, disqualifications and eliminations all to get to this point where only 3 acts remain. They are all hoping to win the first ever series of The A* Factor!

Last weeks semi finals were the closest results ever when the acts took on 'Best of British/American Anthems' and 'Go For Broke', with Christian Burrows sadly missing out on a spot in the final. This left Nic with Faye Horne and Sam Lavery and Danyal with James Hughes.

Tonight's show will see the acts take on floor filler songs to get the party started, before moving onto duets with celebrity artists! Then the voting lines will open and freeze shortly after. The 3rd placed act will be announced. The remaining two acts will then perform their song of the series and then the most important song of them all; the winners song. This could change everything so it's important that the mentors have selected the right song for their acts. The winner will then be announced!

Of course once the winner is announced, I'll be letting you in on those voting stats that I've been teasing all series.

All remaining acts have topped the vote at some point in the competition!

It really is anyone's for the taking tonight and that makes it very exciting.

Now that I've got you all nervous, let's start the show.

Opening our grand final tonight it's Nic and his girls. This act is the last standing randomly selected act and has gone strong all the way through the competition, never appearing in the bottom two. She's hoping to keep up the momentum and get a place in the final two and be back here tomorrow. Singing her floor filler to get the party started, it's Faye Horne!
