WEEK FOUR – ‘LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!’
Faye Horne – 16.7% Sam Lavery – 16.1% Christian Burrows – 15% Relley C – 12.2% James Craise – 11.1% ------ James Hughes – 10.6% Janet Grogan – 9.4% ------ Niall Sexton – 8.9% ------ 5 After Midnight – Disqualified Movie night was a blessing for Nic and his girls; with both holding the top 2 spots! Faye overtook Sam in the voting for the first time since Week 1 and took 1st place, leaving Sam to settle for 2nd. This was the first time our eventual winner (Faye) topped the vote! Christian regained momentum after a blip last week and took 3rd place. The top 3 ran away with the voting, leaving the others to battle it out as all were in danger of being in the bottom three that night. The lines closed and Danyal lost his first act of the competition as Niall failed to get a rebound vote after his bottom two appearance the previous week and was sent home immediately as a result of the double elimination. That left Janet and James H to battle it out in the sing off, both appearing there for the first time. I wasn’t surprised with James H as he was 6th the previous week too, however I was a little surprised with Janet as she was consistently 4th or 5th, always above fellow over 25 James C yet took a tumble this week and landed in the bottom two. She was sent home 2-1 by the judges, therefore finishing in 7th place. |

Niall was a strange one. I kept thinking he'd get his momentum from Week 1 back but it just didn't happen for some reason.

WEEK FIVE – ‘LET’S GO INDIE!’
Faye Horne – 21.4% Sam Lavery – 19% Christian Burrows – 17.9% James Hughes – 15.5% ------ Relley C – 14.3% James Craise 11.9% Indie week was a success for the girls who managed to both hold onto their top two spots; with Faye increasing her lead over Sam. Christian stayed consistent in 3rd place for the second week in a row. James Hughes pulled off a surprise and snuck into the top 4 for the first time since Week 2, therefore keeping him safe after a bottom two appearance last week. It was a double whammy for Riley as James C and Relley C both fell into the bottom two. James C wasn’t a surprise as he had already been there in Week 1 and has been hovering over the bottom for the past few weeks. Relley was overtaken by James Hughes which meant she fell into the bottom two, which was more of a surprise considering she had previously came 2nd in Week 3. The judges opted to send home James C 2-1. |

Nic's girls just seemed to be an unstoppable force. They hadn't moved from the top 3 since Week 2.

WEEK SIX – ‘BEST OF BRITISH/AMERICAN ANTHEMS’ AND ‘GO FOR BROKE’
James Hughes – 25.9% Faye Horne – 24.9% Sam Lavery – 24.7% ------ Christian Burrows – 24.5% ------ Relley C – Disqualified It was all change this week. The top 3 that pretty much remained the same all series was invaded and James Hughes snatched the top spot for the first time this series. Also, the first time a male has topped the vote all series! It was close between previous top spot holders Faye and Sam, with Christian just missing out on a final spot by a small 0.2%! He was so consistent in the voting that it was a shame to see him miss out. It was the closest vote all series and made things very interesting as we headed into the final; all three acts had now topped the vote at some point in the competition. |

That week certainly made things interesting going into the final.
I really thought James H was going to take it right from under the girls noses. ![]() |

WEEK SEVEN, PART ONE – FLOOR FILLERS AND DUETS
Faye Horne – 34.7% James Hughes – 32.8% ------ Sam Lavery – 32.5% PART TWO – MENTOR’S FAVOURITE AND WINNER’S SONG ****Faye Horne – 50.3%**** ------ James Hughes – 38.7% ------ Sam Lavery – 11%*after vote freeze So this is how tonight panned out! Faye managed to regain momentum and snatched the top spot from James, leaving both him and Sam behind her in the first round. Sam was only 0.3% away from joining her fellow girl in the final two; I wasn’t lying when I said it was close! Faye went full steam ahead in round two and increased her lead over James by some margin too! Sam received 11% of the final vote. Faye is your The A* Factor Champion! |

I also made a pretty table that I've been updating all series with the stats.
![]() Voting Stats Table It's a good reference until the game gets added to the webpage. |

Announcement #1
The A* Factor WILL return for another series next year. Possibly spring time. I think for my first game it’s ran relatively smoothly, yes we had judge issues but those of you that stuck with it to the very end made this all very worthwhile! I’ve really enjoyed myself and I hope you guys have enjoyed it too. Announcement #2 I’d like to invite you both back as judges for the next series. You’ve been incredibly loyal and brilliant at getting songs in on time; some fantastic choices along the way as well! So what do ya say, will you come back? (I’ll give you a pay rise )I'd like thank you both so much for the effort and passion you've shown in the game as well. You both are so dedicated (Nic is even using a 3DS to play ) and it's been fantastic. You've made this a great experience for me and I'm determined to make Series 2 even better. So go on, come back. ![]() |

I must say, I was genuinely shocked to see how Gifty totally bombed Week 1 after winning the wildcard.
