And Santy Claus is revealed to be Deano who has now become a born-again Christian regretting his evils ways wanting to make amends and because it's the magical day of Christmas everyone forgives him, even Roxy and Linda.

The episode ends with Dot "hilariously" tripping over a bunch of bins (because as we know the bin storyline was so damn funny the first time), mutters "Oh no, not the dastardly bins again!" Hi RE,

Could you use spoiler tags in future please? Some members wanted to keep this a secret and enjoy the twists and turns at the time of broadcast.

Thanks.

too many episodes imo.

6 episodes in one week? People must have got better things to do at Christmas?!

I'm not sure they have enough material to cover 6 episodes so I think we will get 5 minute scenes of kids opening presents and pulling crackers! - Then the bins are collected, Elaine pops in to sing karaoke and Kim crashes into the dust cart.

I don't get why they don't back to 2x 30 mins episodes, so much better for ratings and pacing

Might watch it if I haven't got something more interesting to watch or do.

Max could come back having teamed up with Gavin who has escaped police custody to finish off Phil by actually cutting out his liver, rather than trying to finish it off with alcohol.

Don't get your hopes up for anything dark as the reason for the late slot... it's there because in its current state it simply doesn't deserve a prime slot in the schedule

I'm guessing Aunt Babe, gets bumped off. But on the whole the Christ,as show itself will be light, fun and pleasant outcomes for Phil and family.

Well Ronnie and Roxy's exit are at New Year so Christmas Day I'm guessing will focus on Max returning and all the other problems happening at the moment such as Lee and Phil's health.

The later slot is not because its a darker ep. Its because the BBC have squeezed in a 1hr Bake-Off at 4.45pm.

Also CTM is 90minutes.

Both EE and CTM were the lowest rating programmes on BBC1 Christmas Day, and yet both get plum slots in the centre of the schedule.

Indeed.

By 9.30pm Christmas Day I'm usually so full of gin/champagne/turkey/potatoes/cake that I doubt I'll be paying any attention to an hour of EastEnders.
