Sara - she will go into theatre or do some guest vocals for various dance acts. But I do think she's made for theatre.
Matt - will kind of fizzle out unless he's marketed well and can find himself. He'll end up another Ben who? 5 after midnight - love them or hate them, they have potential to carve a huge future. JLS, One Direction and Olly never won but established a market and were 'live acts'. Emily - now I can see her being a credible artist. She has a sound, a look and you can see her albums doing well. Young girls would love her. |

I'm just gonna say I hope they all do well. It's a nice intake of contestants and they're all talented. Not the best they've ever had, but still good. I think you're right that 5AM have the biggest commercial potential, followed by Emily. Matt should do well but I honestly can't think of what songs they'd give him. It's really hard to give tracks to a male artist I think.

i would think 5am are more likely to follow in the footsteps of Ropy Cough than any of the acts mentioned in the OP

I think Saara may do some theatre work.
Matt may have a one hit single, perhaps Emily and JLS will release something but I don't think any of them will set the music charts alight. I do believe this time next year we will be going "Who's that again?" |

Saara- Musical theatre, I can also see her giving ESC another shot and doing well
Matt- Will likely fade. 5AM- I see them as Fleur 2.0, they'll have one hit that will be played everywhere before fading into obscurity. Emily- This one's tough. I can see it going either way. I think she'll have a few small hits, but nothing too major. |

Last year we had far superior acts at this stage like Che,Lauren and 4th impact who've done nothing since. Every single year we have the judges spouting out how every act is going to have a huge recording career and then completely forget about them.

I don't really see any of them doing anything to light up the music industry.
If Matt Terry does win, he'll have a winner's single and possibly a top 10 single in 2017. Once his first album is released, that will make or break him. As much as I like Saara, I don't really see her doing anything in the charts. She will probably return to Finland and maybe follow in Ruth Lorenzo's footsteps by representing Finland at Eurovision in a couple of years time. 5AM, I'm just not seeing anything there. They will be about as successful as Rough Copy. They haven't got a cat in hells chance of achieving JLS levels of success. As for Emily, I don't think the live shows have helped with her identity. She sings ballads with a paper thin voice. There's a lack of excitement in her performances. I just don't know what type of artist Emily would become. |

Matt will be still around in some capacity. The rest will have faded away.

Matt - moderate hit with first single, album flops, career put on indefinite hiatus until quietly dropped from label.
5am - will split up shortly after the X factor tour, the talented one will try and launch a solo career. Emily - will independently release her own music ala Janet Devlin style, no chart success. Saara - will be snapped up for part in a big west end show, gains much praise for her role, rises to leading lady status for next west end show. Takes break to represent UK at Eurovision. |
