Just because last year was a bit different than previous years and they used false bottom two more often doesn't mean they made it up. Go back and look at the stats for all the series yourself and you'll see that the 'wildcard' only happened once or maybe twice in the previous series.

90% may have been an approximation but it certainly wasn't made up.
