You must be watching a different program to me. I'm loving it. Lovely funny happy people . Going for all the tasks. Working & getting on together. No whinging or moaning. Refreshing to see after the last one.
How in the world is Martin not a memorable character?
I also think Adam, Joel, Scarlett, Larry and Carol have been good value.
Danny I didn't like what I saw, but he mixed it up when needed.
And Ola, Lisa, Sam, Wayne and Jordan brought the feelgood factor.
It's been a great cast this year.

I remember people complain about them but it was a shame there isn't an American/foreigner this year.

Mostly poor bookings this year. The tasks are old hat, too.

I feel the same. It nice to have one of our American cousins in. Some - like Jimmy Osmond, George Takei, Martina (OK so she was born in Czechoslovakia) and of course the fabulous David Gest have been some of the best additions. Even George Hamilton who walked after a week or so - was entertaining while he was in there.
I'm guessing the producers thought they had an American when someone said the name 'Larry' they probably thought they'd signed up Larry Hagman - then discovered he'd passed away and then had to sign any old Larry up instead.
I've enjoyed it more than usual. I much prefer watching people getting on and having fun rather than arguing, backstabbing and confrontation. No idea how people find entertainment in that.
I think Martin is a memorable character, but I completely agree with you that this is certainly not a vintage year.
2016 has not been a vintage year in general I think.

I think it has been a great year. IMO it proves they can have a great, positive show with a focus on actual conversations without the need for wind-up merchants.
Only let down has been some very bland tasks. They need some new ideas men as they are very samey this year.

Correct. There is no villain and no sexual tension whatsoever.
Very dull series this year for me. Martin's antics made it interesting for a few days but I stopped watching after Lisa's eviction.
Got no interest in watching the extras get kicked off one by one as the producer's three favourites breeze on to the final.

I agree with you, it's made a pleasant change to have nice people who get on. No bitching, swearing etc., (apart from Larry being pretty nasty towards & about Martin), they've just got on with the trials for a change (with a few exceptions) Jordan & Larry spring to mind. Why has Larry been exempt from most, if you can't do the tasks you shouldn't be on the programme!
It's been one of the best for camp relationships and one of the worst for using critter tasks and the cruelty involved.

How can you say there's been no sexual tension when Ant is STEAMING over Larry every night?
I've enjoyed it, but the editing has been woeful. Utterly unbalanced. However, I'm loving the feel good factor. Let's face it, 2016 has been a bit of a 'mare all around, so some warmth and camaraderie was refreshing IMO.
I'm enjoying it, largely because of the cast who for the most part seem to get on very well. They may annoy each other at times, but it doesn't seem to be any major issues or contempt between them (maybe except from Larry).
It's a weird feeling, where I don't actively want any of them to go. I'm actually somewhat disappointed every night when I hear who has been voted off.

It has been an extremely dull year. Not even so much because of the lack of drama, but because they have not really had to suffer beyond their own boredom. Not that I don't enjoy the drama of clashing personalities, but I enjoy it more when they have terrible trial results.
