I used to find him very annoying. Now I find him endearing. I hope he stays a bit longer.

Ahh, I like him too. When he arrived he seemed quite down and quickly exhausted. He was trying too hard to please and generally quite negative and paranoid about things. Well, what a turnaround in a week! He's now up for a laugh, gets on with everyone, is happy to do challenges, doesn't seem to take things to heart anymore and physically he said he'd had the first ever day in 25 years where he hasn't used his inhaler. Camp life really does seem therapeutic!

He has made this series for me and the banter between him and Adam is so absorbing.

Have the producers had a few words with you?

Martin has adapted. I don't know how much the campmates genuinely like him, but they've accepted him, and that's the main thing. Other groups would not have let him in at all.

He's still an attention seeker but at least he's stopped with the moaning and sulking.

Martin just shows up how dull all of the others are. He's the best thing about this series. I know he's the only reason I've stuck with it.

Me too. I stopped watching last series after Lady C walked. I'm not one of the viewing public who like cosy camp fire stories and songs.

Martin is great. He has really settled down in the camp now and has changed, it suits him.

Maybe! He's turned it around for himself. He's let his nicer atributes come to the fore. Namely his kindness and sweetness. He's stopped moaning like he was, and calmed down a lot. I see him as an eccentric English man with a big heart.

Lots of nice comments about Martin tonight on the DM, which surprised me. Maybe DS is just an extension of that nasty place. Say it's not so!

he's not as irritating as he was, but now has just morphed into another camp bore, I preferred him when he was being a total knob

I stuck it out after she walked but it wasn't the same. What you saw was what you got with Lady C. Unlike the obnoxious little gang of pathetic egotists she couldn't stand and showed up for what they were..
Martin's attitude has improved but I wonder how he'll react to last nights voting result.

The men in that camp were the pits, in a clique like teenies against the woman, they showed themselves up terribly. Dont think last nights result will phase him, but I love how he takes it when he knows the public havent voted him out, its lovely.. as if he didnt expect to be liked.

I'm not surprised. Given how immaturely he behaved with 11 adults before he began making changes. He's used some good inherent survival skills. He'd have driven himself nuts with his constant negativity alone in that environment.
Good for him and I sincerely hope he can enjoy a more relaxed, emotionally secure and happier, healthier future. I'm sure being abe to feel more secure and relaxed with people is also something to do with not needing his inhaler nearly so much. During therapy some of my clients have experienced the same outcome and generally it's not uncommon.
The show last year was mainly the pits with a few damned awful people showing their true colours, including one of the women, Yvette whats her name. Lady C had the lot of them well sussed.
