We could see Larry physically upset on the screen while Ant and Dec were interviewing Jordan, it was quite nice the way the campmates responded to the young man , who I though did nothing much in the camp but seemed so much sharper and nicer once out, maybe he just got edited out a lot of the time, as he seemed really well liked...but now Ive been informed by hubby that Larry was upset because he wanted out of the Jungle, and wasnt picked.

I am sure he really did miss him, no doubt about it, but I sense Larry was crying more over the fact that it was not him that went. He seems emaciated in there now and...SO OVER IT !!! He won't quit but seems bursting to go.

Danny Baker was on Extra Camp and dismissed the reason for Larry's tears as wishing he was the one that was leaving. He said two people nearly walked while he was in there: Jordan & Larry.

How Danny could implicitly say that was the only reason for his tears as he is no longer there I have no idea. Danny took what looked like a lovely moment and completely crushed it.

This topic should be renamed to "Larry upset for having to stay"

That guy wants out.

A bit of both. He was close to Jordan and helped him a lot, as well as the others.
Everyone has spoken highly of him. His wisdom and his role in camp.

De Finitely not a bit of both. Did anyone really think he would be in tears at not seeing someone for 4 or 5 days that he had never met until 2 weeks ago? Ludicrous fantasy world. It is clearly entirely related to his own circumstances.

Well, I think Larry likes the young ones and feels it can make a big career difference for them and he was sad. Larry may well have had enough but if he really wanted to go to the point of crying over it, he'd just do a Nigel Havers and go. He's not a doormat. I have gone right off Larry through this but I still thought his tears were for Jordan and genuine. Danny has a narrative that he likes of what's going on and he's sticking to it whatever.

And I felt Jordan came across better in his tiny interview with A&D than he ever had in the camp sadly.

I think Larry was probably upset that he hadn't been chosen to leave, but I don't think it was only that. He wasn't the only one to look upset when Jordan left, nor do I think he was the only one in tears. Both Wayne and Joel looked stunned.

Maybe we can blame the editing. We only get to see a tiny fraction of what the campmates are really like in camp. Maybe Jordan did a lot more than we ever got to see - he certainly seemed very popular with the others, which he wouldn't have been if all he did was sit around and do nothing. He could have been funny, entertaining, hard working, but the editing showed none of it. Who knows?

I disagree with you, entirely my own prerogative, which doesn't mean I live in a ludicrous fantasy world, thank you, Why do you need to use an inane insult against someone who disagrees with you?

A 69 year old man does not get upset because he isn't going to see a 25 man who he has just met for the following 4 or 5 days.

It's the editing when we only see at the most 38 minutes now and that's consisted of far too much of the chosen 4, Scarlett, Martin, Adam and Joel and whatever they can work into their selected story lines.
They all really do seem to like each other as reaffirmed by everyone who's left so far, particularly Larry. It must be an emotional time, the isolated intense experience and their camaraderie are coming to an end.

Nor do I , I started the thread thinking the man Larry might be genuinly upset over Jordan leaving, as he was crying or appeared to be crying on screen , were all diffrerent and in those circumstances that none of us know , it might make people weakerl and more sensitive but my always smarter hubby informed me I was wrong and that he heard Larry wanted out of the camp.

Im the same age as Larry and have become a lot more sentimental in my old age, but maybe the man just does want out of there and feeling the strain. I actually thought at first he might be ill .

Yes I know he's wanted to leave for a few days. I'm sure it's a mixture of emotions with that included.
I've been emotional every time I've left my menagerie of pets to go on hols, but strangely rarely with my feral kids....
Hey we're nearly the same age. Latter 1940's, very fine vintage

I haven't gone off Larry at all. He went OTT when he'd allowed himself to get too angry with Martin who'd been driving them up the wall and he'd had more than enough. He's obviously very well thought of by the others who are stuck there 24/7 and it's been reaffirmed by the people who've left.
At least he had the guts to tell him to his face unlike some of the others in there like Wayne for instance.

They've turned this show into a farce, even the camp mates leaving interviews have been shortened to shove Scarlett in our faces to the max.

Just repeating the same post over and over again doesn't actually make it true. It's a intense environment that plays with their emotions

The jungle - real opium for the masses. Unbelievable.
