When a mermaid act was mentioned she said 'oh, I've read about her, she's great' (or words to that effect and this is why she was promising people a mermaid in the water that holds her breath instead of the duds that they got

The thing is, surely the Aquarium wouldn't just let some woman turn up and swim in one of their tanks?! They seem to have overlooked that fact.

I've actually seen an employee doing some maintenance in one of the tanks at the London Aquarium but he was suitably attired and wearing breathing apparatus!

They should hire the mermaid instead. She can supply her own attire (what there is of it) and does not require breathing apparatus
