I've been rather silly....
Bought one of these
https://www.amazon.co.uk/ION-Audio-M.../dp/B00COC61LO Connected it up to one of these http://uk.yamaha.com/en/products/aud...01/?mode=model I was already using my three line level inputs so thought it's a turntable I will plug it in the phono inputs. I knew the player did not need a cartridge, so I thought well will it work? so to me (because I am a novice) I thought those are just like line in's with a different label. Plugged my ipod to test and it played with no issues! So waits for my first record to turn up and puts it on the trurntable... awfully destorted. Tries the LP players own speakers sounds lovely. Reads the manual (I know this what I should of done to begin with...) and it says don't plug the players rca outputs into phono as this may damage your equipment!! Nothing seems to have gone pop and just tried my tuner with no issues. Do you think I got away with it? |

Yes, it's VERY, VERY, VERY unlikely to damage anything, and even then only if you happened to have the volume turned up extremely loud.
phew! |
