It’s the last day of November and time is running out if you’re to thinking about submitting a team for this December’s ‘Daily Challenge game.


Don’t worry if you haven’t played before. Just read the rules below and get posting. You might end up top of the Leaderboard with your first attempt! New players are always welcome.


It’s a very easy game to play. The object of the game is to pick a team of 11 characters from those listed below which you think will score the more points than the other people playing the game.


New players will need to pick a name for their team. Those of you who played in the ‘Daily Challenge last month can retain the same name or change it (if you think you’ve thought of something better.)


Once you’ve whittled your shortlist down to 11 characters you will then need to nominate one of them as Captain. This character will have their score doubled so you’re really looking to identify the character which you think will score the most points during the month to maximise your chances of winning.


Then, simply post your choices on the thread or send them to me via PM, and keep an eye out for the Monday ‘Daily to see how your “team” is doing in the score updates.

The scoring system works as follows:-

+ 1 point per episode appearance

+ 1 point for the character that speaks the first words in the episode.

+ 1 point for the character that speaks the last words in the episode before the break.

+ 1 point for the character that speaks the first words in the episode after the break

+ 1 point for the character that speaks the last words in the episode.

+ 1 point for any kisses on the lips. If you have both characters who kiss in your team each character will receive a point.

+ 2 bonus points for any character that appears in 6 or more episodes during the week. In the event of any episodes being transmitted on a weekend the week will run from Monday to Sunday.

*** Please note changes to the rules – From January 2016 onwards only regular characters can earn points for words spoken.
Sighs, tuts and only other noises will no longer be counted as words for the purpose of earning bonus points.
In the events of crowd noise the regular character who speaks first after it / last before it will be awarded the bonus point as appropriate ***


+ Remember that your team Captain gets their score doubled!!!

I might submit an Emmerdale team this month

Evening chris. You need it to come on at least half an hour before you get up. I'd get frostbite in my bathroom if I didn't.

I am nice and warm under the duvet so i am ok until it warms up

I've never missed having a recordable TV until tonight, I really wish I had one for this evening. I would record the moment Rebecca goes telling all to Waaaaron and put it on the computer, slowed right down to the point you can see where his wittle heart bursts like a popped balloon. Then turn it into a GIF for the ED fan sites as an early Xmas pressie😈😈😈😈.
