Corrie - Caz storyline is ridiculous
This storyline with Caz is completely and utterly preposterous.

It keeps getting more ridiculous, Caz has used Maria's credit card, is now using Maria's name for her new job.. quick simple checks from the police would show that, instead the cops believe that Maria killed Caz, left evidence then moved the body wrapped up in a rug to Fiz's bins. Left the rug in Fiz's bins, then took Caz's dead body and dumped it some where without being seen

Why has Caz got it in for Maria anyway? She was the person who gave her a roof over her head when she was homeless.

Analysis of the blood found on the rug and scissors would have shown it to be non arterial (ie, not from a lethal wound) and incredibly likely therefore to be self inflicted. You can convict of murder with no body but generally there is sufficient DNA evidence or at least strong evidence/multiple circumstantial evidence to present to the CPS. The motive is rocky ground since the penalty for murder is much higher than that of a sham marriage especially as Maria admitted to it early on.
If it was this easy to get people put away on a dodgy murder rap, our prisons would need doubling in space! |

And why on earth is that woman police officer so annoyed and shouty at anyone who tries to give her relevant information?

The detective is a idiot, although most soap police are to be fair but the way she talks to people like she needs a good slap.

Dreadful portrayal of the police, even by Soapland standards. Thankfully, it looks like Caz gets her comeuppance on Friday and will hopefully never be mentioned again, along with this stupid storyline.

As my dad pointed out all that would have to be done in this situation is show a photo of Caz to the other staff in that factory and they would recognize her straight away, ridiculous storyline with so many holes!

I can't wait for this storyline to end, if only to get rid of the terrible actress who plays Caz

![]() Soap police are usually incompetent and do a rubbish job allowing the criminal to wreak more havoc in order to build the drama however in this instance it looks like the police are actively trying to sabotage the investigation. |

If there is overwhelming circumstantial evidence you can be charged with murder. The prosecution needs to prove without any doubt that the victim is dead and the only person who could have killed them is the accused. There have been at least two high profile cases in the UK in the last 5 years where murder convictions have been made without the bodies - the case of April Jones in Wales and Danielle Jones (no relation and not the EE character) in England. The storyline is stupid though; the evidence does not overwhelmingly prove Caz is dead (obviously) and even if they had her body, that Maria is the only one who could have killed her. |

Why do they always make the police out to be a useless bunch of dummies?
They're doing exactly the same with the senseless Phelan joke. |

A quick google search will confirm that a body is not required for a murder charge.

Its all just stupid and the storylines are all over the place. Why would the police be investigating like this without a body, but not be investigating les dennis/michael death with pat. Plus not even investigating him after all the evidence against him with the flats

Urrerly ridiculous. Aiden saw Caz coming out with the workers from the factory. The police only had to look at the staff list to find her, even with a falxe name. For Maria to be in custody after about two weeks, charged with murder, when no evidence of murder has been found, is also utterly ridiculous.

The storyline is awful, and the police come across as useless.
I'm not sure where most of the evidence is to charge someone with murder and keep them locked up. |

It's been ridiculous for a while now as surely the police forensic team would realise that Caz's blood on the scissors is more recent than when the murder supposedly took place.

The Caz storyline is so ridiculous and unbelievable that I can't imagine anyone actually giving this the go-ahead. It's terribly annoying to watch too as yet another totally absurd incident follows another. Who on earth thought this was a good idea? It's bad it even makes Michelle's wrong son storyline look almost convincing.

It's starting to look to me, like the Police have realised that Maria has not killed Caz but are too embarrassed to admit it and so are pushing ahead, trying to "shout down" anyone who raises questions or points out the problems.
