Will This finally Settle The Moon Hoax Claims?

There have been many claims that the Apollo landings on the moon were a hoax. My answer to the sceptics has been well "Fly to the moon and find the artefacts".

We have had a number of moon orbiters which have photographed the landing sites but that has not satisfied the sceptics.

Now some Germans propose to send a rover to the moon to inspect the remains of the Apollo XVII

A Berlin-based group of rocket scientists and engineers are aiming to land a pair of privately funded Audi-branded robotic rovers on the moon and drive them to inspect NASA's Apollo 17 lunar roving vehicle, marking 45 years since humans last drove on another world.

They won't get through the van allen belt unscathed so the footage will be faked.

And their diesel particulate emissions will add to the solar wind, and lay waste to planet Earth.

Sadly, Henry, they'll just come up with a new conspiracy theory to explain the results.

So what exactly would stop them?

It's not a hoax. I've seen it in the sky

Unfortunately the answer is that everything can be computer generated these days so no footage would be sufficient to prove anything. the only way to convince idiots I mean those that don't believe men landed on the moon is to fly them there to see for themselves, trouble is they'd still think they'd been drugged or such like.

I think the best thing is to ignore those that don't believe the moon landings were real.

As an aside. In the last few days there has been news that astronauts on long ISS flights have been having eye problems which prevent a trip to Mars.

But what if the Land Rover is a pickup, not a van?

The equipment will be damaged so they won't be able to take any footage. Therefore any images will have to be faked.

The triumvirate of radiological protection.

Time.
Distance.
Shielding.

All three can be implemented in space flight (the first two quite readily, the third is a little more tricky but still achievable.)

Even if in the future we had paid visits to the moon. and millions saw the proof they would still call it a hoax. Go look at the Flat Earth society, and see how far these types of people go.these people are clearly deranged and will never will be convinced.

I think you'll find that is not an adequate defence against the admittedly somewhat niche conspiracy theory that the moon is a holographic projection. Apparently you can see the image glitch when the software reboots. But you have to be very patient.

What is it they're hiding, though? The Moon's having been blasted out of orbit by those nuclear waste dump explosions 17 years back? Or that it's really a space dragon egg?

I think you would have heard a lot of complaints from the USSR/Russians if the Moon landings were faked. They had the ability and motivation to spot such a fake. The US might be up for a bit of fakery for propaganda purposes, but in this case I think that they did land on the Moon.

Some of you may remember Apollo XII the one that was launched in a thunder storm. That mission was designed to land close to Surveyor III which had landed on the moon in April 1967. It dug channels in the moon and I remember the librarian complaining that it was not right that a probe was digging channels on the moon.

Anyway Charles Conrad and Al Bean (some I have met) land so close to Surveyor III that they could walk across to it.

They cut off the digging tool and brought it back to earth. On earth they found it contained life. Life that had stowed away on it from Earth two and a half years before.

Sadly Charles Conrad is no longer with us. He was killed in a motorcycle accident on July 8 1999.

In what way do you think that would convince anybody? You can't just hop on a rocket and fly there.

Of course it wast faked, anyone with half a brian cell should know.

I checked that site out the other day, it was honestly like viewing a different world. There is one guy on there that has come up with a new map of the world all by himself and thinks that Australia is just below Britain..........there are some very strange people on there.

There are also a lot of normal people on there too, i don't really know why though. You can't argue with Flat Earther's, they don't accept any evidence of a round Earth.

From Wikipedia:

Quote:
“It is widely claimed that a common type of bacterium, Streptococcus mitis, accidentally contaminated the Surveyor's camera prior to launch, and that the bacteria survived dormant in the harsh lunar environment for two and a half years, supposedly then to be detected when Apollo 12 brought the Surveyor's camera back to the Earth. This claim has been cited by some as providing credence to the idea of interplanetary panspermia, but more importantly, it led NASA to adopt strict abiotic procedures for space probes to prevent contamination of the planet Mars and other astronomical bodies that are suspected of having conditions possibly suitable for life. Most dramatically, the Galileo space probe was deliberately destroyed at the end of its mission by crashing it into Jupiter, to avoid the possibility of contaminating the Jovian moon Europa with bacteria from Earth. The Cassini probe is also planned to impact Saturn at the end of its mission in 2017.

However, independent investigators have challenged the claim of surviving bacteria on Surveyor 3 on the Moon. (See Reports of Streptococcus mitis on the Moon.)”

Worth a read.

Sadly, I've encountered quite a few of these people with only half a Brian cell, and they all think (if that's the right word) that it was faked.

the moon's gravity causes earth's tides. Quite hard to fake gravity .......

That's what they want you to think...

... tides are faked as well

Seems like a challenge for Clarkson, Hammond, May and The Grand Tour.

Heck, they've probably got the budget for it

I was about to ask how that was done. If they stopped having to fake the Severn Bore, and the 7 knots each way in the Needles fairway, the energy saved might be enough to halt global warming.
