Ant seems to make some little joke or quip about Larry; like he keeps 'joking' about, and saying things that suggests he has the hots for him..... WTF is THAT about? It was funny the first 2 or 3 times. Now it's just weird.

Anyone else think it's weird?

Or is it just a laugh?

He just seems to have made a LOT of comments.

It's just a running joke...a bit like when Jan Leeming was on and Dec became a 'Jan Fan' after she kept being voted for to do trials etc

Ant and Dec have been in the business for many years, they must know some of the celebs on some series professionally or socially. I suspect Larry is one of those.

They do a running joke every year

I never thought the gag was funny after maybe the first attempt. This seems to be something presenters of these shows like to do... make a running joke out of falling in love with one of the older contestants.

That's how running jokes work!

Lighten up. Its a running joke. Last year it was tony hadley with masterchef. This year its larry.

This is probably right - they're all been up for tv awards for years.
The Larry joke seems like one of those in jokes that they all fall about laughing at in the rehearsal but, for me, it falls a bit flat on the show now.

He may or may not have implied it, but only you can infer it.

Sorry, but the misuse of these two terms is one of my pet peeves. Imply = what the speaker/writer does. Infer = what the listener/reader does. They're not interchangeable.
