Are you getting annoyed with Celebrities always crying during Letters from home
It was funny watching them tonight getting those letters and crying because they have been away from their loved ones for only two weeks. It is like this every year with them even though they see them again in a few days. Can imagine what these celebrities would be like if they had to stay in the Jungle for a month

I wouldn't say i was bored, but it is weird (IMO) for them to go loco when they only saw them 2 weeks ago, and will be seeing them in a few days.

I never watch the letters/videos/messages from home on this or bb, I always record the shows then fast forward thru them, can't stand to watch it!! 😁😁

I find it awkward (I don't like outward displays of emotion that much) so I normally turn the sound down at that point

Those letters always sound so false to me, as if the producers have stood over them telling them what to write to have the maximum tear effect.

I think the 'secret mission' ended after the Stacey Solomon / Dom Joly one. Nothing since has compared to it.

yes it annoys me every year when they cry and tbh I know that if I was in there getting messages from my family, I wouldn't well up, i don't show my emotions so I would be totally fine after 3 weeks away

I always skip letters segments now. It's even more painful to see the drama over it on IAC, considering they've only been there 2 weeks for heaven's sake.

I would like it if they scrapped that part of the show.
Surely it's a little bit boring? |

I know when I go away I don't contact (or expect them), to contact me. Unless of course there was a death in the family. It's like the tears are expected.....stop it for god sake, it's ridiculous! You haven't been away from your family for a year +! ROLLEYES |

I do find it ridiculous. It's not like they're soldiers in a war zone

This is what I tried to say though about Larry perhaps crying that Jordan had left, its different circumstances in there, no tv no news, its surreal and maybe why some get so sensitive to things that wouldnt bother them in the outside world, I think leaving children must be the worst, for the children even more than the celeb parent.

It's really cringeworthy, you'd swear that they been in the army or prison for 6 months the way they act

The letters are always the same - "We're all so proud of you and missing you loads, etc.". Even if you didn't get your letter, you could easily imagine what was in it.

I find the tears and the letters/phone calls ridiculous to be honest.
I work away for up to 2/3 months at a time and never ever do I cry when I speak to my wife, last time I went away I only spoke to my parents once in 3 months and didn't find it necessary to break down in tears. However I suppose I am not looking for camera/air time on TV. |

Yes but your not sleeping in a hammock eating beans and rice and have a hole in the ground to pee in..or have to suffer people you dont like its completely different. although I dont like the teary part myself.
When I work away (overseas 90% of the time), I live on my own, work 12-16 hours a day, rarely go out or socialise with others due to work commitments and/or people not caring to spend time with the temporary employee also a lot of the time there is a language barrier. So yes it is completely different as those in the jungle have it easy. |

The thing that makes me cringe is when family members say 'we're so proud of you'. Proud of what exactly? Managing to behave like a civilised human being for 2 weeks? Managing not to wear your knickers on your head and fart in a tea cup? I mean, all they have done is go camping for a couple of weeks with a group of people and manage not to have killed each other. What a flaming achievement.

No as I switched over. They really should scrap this nonsense though.

yes I think it gets too over the top although I can understand getting a little emotional as its a strange situation, not the same as a relaxing holiday or a job where you know someone is just a phone call away. There is also rarely any personality to it, it's always "we are so proud", like anyone would say otherwise.

think of all that cash their earning though, to be honest I couldnt do it, the thought of trying to sleep where snakes might slither past at night makes me ill, and I need a blow dry for my hair every day, as it goes like a wild woman if I dont wash and dry it every day, the postman tried not to laugh today when he came with a delivery, so no I would be a failure in camp in many ways.
