The Tour and who wins
Gandolf

Will they let Claudia win if she's not touring as they did with Kellie Bright ?

I don't know what you mean. Kellie didn't win anything!

Did you mean Caroline? She won when she wasn't on the tour

I thought the tour was an independent promotion under licence to the BBC for the name/brand only, i.e not a BBC enterprise as such.

I know what Gandolf means, and the answer is YES

What better way to prove, once & for all, that the show isn't fixed?

Ask yourself this: do you really think Len would want to take his final bow, with Danny Mac or Louise Redknapp or winning!? Hmmm....

(apart from anything else, they'd have to literally shoot Louise out of a cannon to get her over the line!)

Either the public's (real) favourite wins this, or they get their first B winner, or they get their first G winner...

...and thus Len gets his grand exit - without being pelted with rotten vegetables!

Any other result would be unthinkable, in my humble onions

But then again, you never know...

Founded in 1998 by Dutch television and theatre entrepreneur Joop van den Ende, Stage Entertainment

They seem to be trying to sell the entire thing on the weight of Ed Balls alone, so I doubt it'll make any difference.

They'll probably use that Strictly Selfie thing to project his face over Neil's and hope nobody notices the difference.

It's good we still have a bit of humour going on here as it's been such a dull affair this year.

What I was trying to say was that I think Kelle Bright on the night should have won it last year. But because she wasn't down to do the tour because of TVs obligations they couldn't let her win .

That also doesn't make sense! Jay had a huge advantage with his Wanted fans, and his superb dancing!

Plus the tour is NOT a BBC product, invitation only from a foreign company Stage entertainment

I voted for Jay along with all the people in our dancing class ( a first) when we talked about it after th final. I was surprised that nobody could stand K and K and didn't like the BBC hype leading up to the final or on the night. The class age is between 20 and 70 and I don't the older people are Wanted fans. I think they just loved Jay's dancing and voted accordingly.

Well, on the night they hyped her to the skies; gave her tango and showdance 40s, and overall gave her 7 points more than anybody else in the final.

The only way they "couldn't let her win" was by fiddling the phone votes.

I have to admit, a conspiracy theory where they were trying to prevent Kellie from winning is a new one...

I have said elsewhere that I think the final is a different beast to any other Strictly show.

The core Strictly audience is probably spread quite evenly between the better dancers - support wise.
Therefore it is likely to be one-off viewers of the Strictly final who decide the result on the night

It was always said that the biggest voters on Big Brother were younger tween and teenaged girls

X-Factor has finished the week before, so tweenies who watch that are probably watching Strictly for the first time, without really knowing who the dancers are, or what they have done in the show.

If you look at the more recent winners, they fit the profiles most likely to be voted for by younger teen or tween females.

ex boybands (Harry Judd, Jay)
young sporty male hunks (Louis Smith) ,
and a selection of "nice young women"
Kara Tointon (played a "nice" soap character)
Caroline Flack - former X-Factor spinoff presenter
Abbey Clancey - Model and WAG

Claudia is just the sort of person that would win in the final by attracting the first time viewer votes. I would personally not be surprised if she is not allowed within a mile of the final. Judge Rinder will be VERY unlikely to win so might be allowed to stay in.

Danny Mac was in Hollyoaks - I think he played a "nice" character, Ore did Newsround, so they may know who he is.
Sad fact, but Louise is too old for 12 year olds to know who she is.

Natalie Gumede was easily the best dancer in her year - but had played a "nasty" character in Corrie before she did Strictly. First time viewers had not seen her ability or personality before, so they only knew her as "Nasty Kirsty" so would be unlikely to vote for her. Abbey Clancy is a model and WAG - everything a teenage girl aspires to (sadly)

In other threads there was someone who was clearly an insider, who said that the BBC does not run the Tour itself - but it does control EVERY aspect of what happens.
It is a huge money spinner for the BBC, so it is inconceivable that the winner (and most finalists) would not do the Tour.

This year there will be 3 finalists due to Will Young quitting.

Ore, Louise and Danny are all signed up
Claudia has gymnastic competitions then so has not.

Ore cannot dance with Joanne on tour as she is doing a stage show, but then Pasha did not tour with Caroline Flack - she danced with Tristan on Tour IIRC

Rather like most commercial radio stations playlists are aimed at 40 year old women,
the choices of 12- 14 year old girls probably decide the winner of Strictly.
