according to http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...ew-season.html

Hope this is true!! This judging panel really works, I love Sharon and Nicole, and funnily enough louis hasn't annoyed me as much this year which been weird. It'll also be nice having a couple of years that nothing changes!

Agree..

Ratings continue to slide, the Judges are 1/ too old, 2/ arrogant, 3/ can't sing. 4/ Maje bad choices, so surprised they are even considering it. If the ratings had shot up, or even gone up, there could be a reason.

It's 5/6 million behind Strictly when it used to be on par with it.

If they all are coming back next year I'm done with this show.

I never thought that Mrs. O will come back next year. For what reason? Her mentoring is... oh wait she isn't mentoring anything this year. She has a team around her.....bullshit... It would be a farce if Saara should win.

As if the panel is the problem with the show.

With the dropping ratings and direct competition from The Voice and Gary's show, I guess those damaged 4 are what can they afford...

as long as the judges are just a bunch of clapping seals whose comments and reactions bear no resemblance to what has just happened in front of them, then it doesn't really matter who the 4 people in the chairs are

I have been saying for years the show needs to keep the panel to same, the rapid decline is partly due to the ever changing panel line up imo, just a shame they seemed to have finally understood that when they have such a terrible panel, Louis and Sharon need to go.

The panel is the least of the show's problems - if getting them on board means they can focus on other things, like picking the right contestants to go forward, then so be it.

Agreed. Some honest assessments is all we ask for, that and not leaving some of the best contestants behind at the ridiculous 6 chair challenge or so-called judges houses. Instead we get no hopers who will never sell a record in the real world being hailed as "artists" and the second coming

The problem is that Cowell is answerable to no-one and doesn't have his performance or decision making appraised. People are probably too scared to challenge him and he has ITV bosses in his back pocket.

The panel has been amazing and has nothing to do with the ratings. This is the 2nd best panel since Cheryl-Dannii-Louis-Simon. (2008-2010)

If Sharon comes back next year I'd like to see her mentor the Groups at long last

Agreed.

Simon is now far too old for this show but too many people are scared of him.

It's official: Louis Walsh will die on the X Factor stage. He signed he two-years-contract. It's a bit of a surprise, while the judges normally get one-year-contracts. On the other hand it's no surprise that he will be back.

Mrs. O is still working on a comeback for next year.

Nicole stays if the panel is the same.

So it looks like their are no changes for next year. Now it's clear for me that Cowell gave the show up. For what reason earned Mrs O the right to come back? She did nothing for her acts this year.
Nicole isn't still my cup of tea. Missed the chemistry between Chezza and Simon. There is nothing there for me between Nicole and him.

Louis doesn't look like an idiot this season, but the only reason is, that the female judges are even worse.

So who exactly would bring in the viewers??

IMO i dont think viewers sliding has very much to do with the panel at all, if anything it should bring them in for nostalgia reasons.

You could have the biggest most popular popstar on the planet on the panel and the viewers still would not climb by much.

The show is on its very last legs.

This. That was one of my main worries about them being on the same panel. I actually love Nicole, and the chemistry she had with Gary was pretty great and fun, loved those two together. Nicole and Simon don't have that for me. I remember when they both were on X Factor US, it didn't really work either, with Nicole being taken from the panel after just one season. Now most of the time I feel like they don't get along at all.

Besides that, I think it's an alright decission keeping the panel. Maybe Simon learned from X Factor US, where changing the panel every season made it look like the show lacked consistency, throwing a lot of people off and making them stop watching.

It's largely irrelevant who the judges are at this stage, the ratings have stabilised around this 6m figure and apart from the occasional spike and drop will probably continue to remain at that level.

The judges, as unlikeable as Simon and Sharon are, as clueless as Louis is and as attention-seeking as Nicole is (who laughably gave up a role in Broadway for this...) there are much deeper seated issues than the four stooges they pay to applaud and fawn over mediocrity. The whole show needs some form of reboot, an attempt to make it more credible. No joke acts, actually talented singers, diverse genres, no themes (or at least better, more encompassing themes), no corny VTs, no manipulation etc.

The whole thing's become like a Harry Hill sketch without any hint of irony.
