Yeah, as I said 2 posts earlier.

Anyway, deal #3 is Dishonored 2 £29.99

This is the RUMOURED list for the full 12 deals.

Rise of the Tomb Raider
Fallout 4
Dishonored II
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition
Battlefield 1
Uncharted 4
Titanfall 2
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
FIFA 17
Grand Theft Auto V
Watch Dogs 2
Final Fantasy XV
If Uncharted 4 & GTA V are decent prices I will get those but have no idea when I'll be able to play them...

Im not really seeing any good prices so far - when you think how incredibly cheap games often are on the Canadian store when on sale these prices seem a little steep to me.

Yes, compared to the disc. But for people that are digital-only (as an increasing number are) these deals represent significant savings over the usual selling price.

Get PSN credit for a good price and they become cheaper still, below the Amazon price in fact.

I'm just trying to share a little info that might be helpful to some people.

He's on about digital, not discs.

Tomb Raider was 25 on amazon last week which to be fair is worth paying a few extra quid to get a physical edition.

I know I know I'm just messing around. Based on the penny thing.

Anyway I'm not necessarily passing judgement on the savings I was just monitoring what the savings represent in real terms next to the physical copy. My original assertion was that these "mega sales" on PSN were actually just bringing the digital price down to physical disc prices.

I'm largely digital-only but won't buy at hugely inflated PSN prices. Which usually means I only buy in sales.

I'm 100% digital-only but like you only buy in sales, the rest if the time the prices are ridiculous

Why are digital prices so expensive. Considering its download only so no physical case, artwork, disk you d think they would be cheaper. If same price might as well just buy a physical copy.

The purpose of the gaming digital market place is not to undercut the retailer, it is for convenience.

If games on the PSN were cheaper than at retail, the retail stores would stop selling games and stop selling the hardware. Sony (same for MS and Nintendo) need retailers to sell their consoles and retailers will in turn sell the games as profit margins are greater in software than hardware.

In the past retailers have removed stock from shop floors (happened in August 2007 when Warhawk launched 50% cheaper on the PSN) and refused to stock consoles when they cannot profit from software sales (the digital only PSP Go).

Purchased Rise of the Tomb Raider on the 1st sale, great price imo and superb game so far, Hoping for Mafia 3 & Deus Ex Mankind Divided to pop up in the 12 sales, think my GF may be buying me Dues Ex Mankind Divided as she's seen it for £20 on Amazon, don't think psn sale would be as cheap as that anyway, gutted about Dishonored 2, payed full price last week as a very rare full price digital treat.

If you've never played Skyrim before this a complete no brainer, just buy it at that price, I pretty much lived on it in the PS3 day's, can't justify buying it and playing it all over again.

Looks like the 12 deals of xmas rumored list is proving true so far, I may bite on Watch dogs 2 if the price is right.

Think I probably will. Only issue is disc space, I saw that it's 20GB which I can probably work out by deleting one or two others. Maybe even Fallout 4 in fact, not likely to go back to that soon if I'm playing Skyrim.

If that is the list my wallet will be happy as the only one other than ROTR, which I have bought, I'll be getting would be FF15.

No interest in FPS games, GTA or WD2 and have played enough FIFAs now.

This is an often quoted argument, but it doesn't mean it still holds as much weight today.

The PSP Go was an experiment, and a failed one at that. It released in 2009, before faster broadband speeds, and was a niche console in a niche market.

Retailers such as GAME and HMV are already clinging on by a thread. The idea that they would impose further losses on themselves by refusing to stock mass selling consoles and games is absolutely laughable. PC games are still stocked despite Steam essentially cornering that market.

I do understand that a balance has to be struck, but I don't think anyone is asking for massive cuts here. I would be perfectly happy if the digital copy simply matched the physical, or was only a few quid out. Even if the shoe was on the other foot and digital was cheaper than physical, I would still mostly go for physical, simply due to trade-in potential.

I do believe that digital trade-ins will be the next big development in gaming retail. It's a game of chicken at the minute as to who will start it first.

^^ See I don't think we'll ever see a digital trade in system. I see why no reason why Sony, MS etc would give you money back on digital games. iTunes doesn't give you money back for songs you got bored of listening to.

And you might say "they'll implement it to combat the physical used market". But digital game sales are growing year on year. I believe digital to take up 60%ish of all game sales, so every year the pool of physical used games gets smaller and smaller. If Sony, MS can hold out a few more years (say 2020), physical game sales might only take up 20% of the market. Then they can charge whatever they want for the games and save so much money from cutting out manufacturing costs and so many middle men.

I just don't see it happening.

But it doesn't have to be MS or Sony giving you the money, if there was a trade system where you can sell your digital games to other gamers, you can set the price etc then I think that could work.

I think the logistics of this would be difficult as it would be dependent on the publisher/console manufacturer allowing the transfer of ownership of the digital asset - seems very complex. I can't imagine all parties involved could negotiate a mutually agreeable set up.

Got £25 PSN credit for £22.32. Buying Skyrim leaves me with £2.01 credit.

So... I essentially got the game for £20.31, which is pretty decent in itself.

This game had better be as good as you all say it is now... lol
