The fact that lots of people are picking apart his comments on his sexuality probably means they were valid.
But I don't work in fashion and I don't live in Ireland and I'm not Dillon so what do I know. |

Sofi got nothing from the games expert, which doesn't surprise me, as I don't think many of them have ideas to encompass all ages and genders!

If the 1st guy got hired from the audience then Sofianne or whatever should have been hired as well. Both were equally bad.

Interesting point, but maybe the audience liked one more than the other.

not read the whole thread but thought the issue around the game play where dillon disregarded alana's ideas by saying it would over-complicate things was kinda over-looked
they were trying to come up with a puzzle game and dillon didn't seem to want there to be anything "puzzling" about it and the game ended up more about how it looked rather than how it was to play |

They record all the exits up front, so the comments they make don't actually relate to any of the tasks.
That's why they all wear a big coat and scarf for both bits, to cover the fact they are wearing different clothes. |

Mark Halliley is losing it a little...I was disappointed not to hear a line along the lines of "Tonight, the experts feedback and the public vote...tomorrow, a reality check in the boardroom"

Aw, Jessica, she obviously got on well with Dillon. She really wanted him back.
![]() I know Jess is as mad as a box of frogs, but I do like her. I bet she'd be great fun to go on a night out with. ![]() She charmed the gaming experts! |

I reckon next week Lord Shuggs will move Trishna over to join Alana and Grainne, leaving Courtney, Francis and Jessicca in the other.
That way, he can pick off either Courtney or Alana, depending on which team loses. That said no one is outstanding. I had thought Grainne was front runner, but last night it felt like she thought she had done enough previous weeks, so sat back. With 4 a side if someone takes a week off you've lost 25% of your team. She needs to do better next week, or Alana might survive over her (if their team loses) |

This was one of the most ridiculous tasks ever set in TA. I worked 15 years in the computer games industry. You cannot expect people to come up with an idea with some originality, design a game, design the characters, learn to play it convincingly and then pitch it convincingly in two days Two months would be pushing it. It is outrageous to attack them for not being creative in this context. Some of us remember the awful and derivative output of Sugar's very own Amsoft label in the 1980s. Even then a reasonable 8 bit game took many hours of development from people who were experienced in both design and coding.
And what did any of this have to do with VR? If the task had been to design a simple app for kids to run on a phone it would have been a little more relevant to the skills the contestants are supposed to display (but not much). |

Some of it probably depends on whom the BBC can get onboard to help (for as little cash as possible).

I thought it was a great task - one of the best ever in terms of creativity. I though both most teams did well although I thought 'Magic Shells' as a title sounded better than the other team's 'Gordon can't find Badger' or whatever it was! I liked both game concepts, both had potential, I reckon. I don't think there is much expertise when it comes to inventing games. If an idea works it works, I don't think the experts know what makes every game a hit! An underwater shell game could work given enough tweaking of gameplay, perhaps. Quote:

Does anyone know where Sofiane comes from originally? I remember the story about how he taught himself English from scratch (which I don't believe) and how he arrived in the UK with something like £100.

Just watched. To start I didn't think Dillon was gay, on the you're fired programme he seemed very very camp. Was he hiding it or cameras hiding it?
