Nozze02

Will Roy sell the cafe?

http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2016-...-sell-the-cafe

And if he does, who to?

Anna?
Sally?
Mary?
Andy and Steph?
Brian?
Yasmeen?
Tyrone and Fiz?
Someone new?

Anna?
Current worker. Her and Kevin could start their family in the cafe.

Sally?
She is buying everything at the moment and they should get her out of the factory quickly and make her a pillar of the community.

Mary?
She has experience in the cafe and would be fun.

Andy and Steph?
A chef and waitress and it would really give them the opportunity they need to develop. If they do get it, it could be the making of both of them.

Brian?
Some fun and maybe this is why he is back.

Yasmeen?
Put here at the centre of the community and something to do.

Tyrone and Fiz?
Friends of Roy who might seem better out of the Duckworth museum and into the real world.

Someone new?
Opportunity for Kate to bring her own characters in.

Not Fiz and Tie. That's all you need. You go to the garage and get Tie for an oil change and go for lunch where Fiz is using your old oil to fry the chips in. I wonder would she wear a hair net.

I still remember when the cafe was owned by Alma and Gail.

Maybe Gail would like to own it again?

Now that would be a nice nod to history and give her something else to do besides moaning about her wayward children or simpering after another man.

Certainly don't want Fiz & Ty running it, the place would be a hovel inside a week if their house is anything to go by .

God yes can you imagine. Their sink at home is always full of dirty dishes and the worktops need a good wipe down.

David, with Gail working part time?

I can easily see Gail taking back over the cafe, but not taking a leading role and having Sarah, Bethany and/or Nick doing the day-to-day running giving it a much younger vibe.

Either way, I would welcome Roy giving up on the cafe if only to bring it up to date a little bit. It's completely stuck in a time warp and doesn't reflect what Corrie is trying to achieve more generally.

It's ironic because there's a cafe in my town that is EXACTLY like Roy's Rolls, completely with railway paraphernalia but you would never see glamour-pusses like Eva, Sarah, Alya, Michelle or even Audrey wolfing down a bacon sarnie and a cup of instant coffee.

I would like to see Gail back in the cafe again. She even worked alongside Roy in the early years, until he bought her out. Perhaps they could become co-owners.

Whatever happens i hope they keep that genius title 'Roy's Rolls'

It would be a nice reference to the past if Bethany did work in the cafe seeing as Sarah also worked there in 2003/2004 as well as Gail.

Phelan could swindle Roy out of it, and Anna could turn up to work there to find Phelan grinning at her behind the counter and he could sack her for not covering her manky hair while preparing the food.

Now I have thought about it, I could see Andy and Steph running the cafe.
