Was just thinking of how much it must cost ITV to stage this series,
1st: Ant & Dec wages.
2nd: The fee paid to the celebrities going in the jungle.
3rd: The cost of all the families flying out to Aus, putting them all up in the 5***** hotel, giving most of them up to a nice 2/3 week holiday.
4th: All the crew, extras, not forgetting the critters & bugs.
It must exceed hundreds of thousands,

I reckon it would be better to get evicted out early and enjoy the luxury of the hotel.

plus the cost of hiring the land and building the sets... plus the no doubt sky-high insurance costs...
Still, I expect Aunt Bessie pays for most of it.

You are assuming the Versace hotel which gets mentioned all the time charge them for the use of the rooms.

Either way, it's probably still cheaper than an episode of Downton Abbey.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the 'jungle' is a permanent set booked out all year by different countries. The UK Celeb team have it for the same 3 weeks every year, there's a week off and then another country has it booked for their tv company to come in and film their version of the Celeb, another week off and then rinse, repeat. I can't remember where I read that though. The same article also featured a similar place in South America (maybe Costa Rica) used by national tv companies for the same thing. i think it said the USA version of Celeb was filmed there.

Does anyone ever wonder of money changes hands from agents who wants extra screen time for their clients?

I would put the cost in the £millions, the sets for the bushtucker trials alone must cost a fortune.

They get their money back through advertising, though, as anybody trying to use ITV's catchup service will have found out. What a chore to sit through all those adverts when you only want to see the bit you missed.

Similarly the BBC spend £millions on Strictly.

Yup the only remotely funny thing is the cockatoo quip which has been around for well over 200 years

never thought of it before but with the bias reproduction of the program I would think thousands .to push their clients forward for the win
