Coronation Street have confirmed that 2017 could see a romance for Daniel Osbourne. Since he arrived on the Street, looking for love couldn’t have been further from Daniel’s mind as he has reacquainted with his dad Ken Barlow while also hiding secrets about his missing mum Denise.

But that’s all set to change next year as he sets his sights on a lady – but who sparks his interest and will the feeling be mutual?

A Coronation Street spokesperson said: ‘Tensions run high in the Barlow household as Ken’s children and grandchildren jostle for position. The boys soon have hearts fluttering and while Daniel may not be the one with the reputation as a ladies man, when he sets his sights on one local girl, it appears he may be the real heartbreaker.’

I think Daniel would go well with possibly Eva as she needs a nice man to look after her (as Aiden doesn't seem to treat her that well).

I think they could, like Daniel she's meant to be a uni graduate so is clearly quite smart, I think Daniel would want someone who could connect with him intellectually and Alya could do that

Since they paired her with Chez she is just ridiculously dull. She had promise when she arrived and the family they brought in could really have added to her character. Instead she just mopes about coming out with moronic comments. She may as well be considered a talking extra these days! The Alahan kids actually get more screen time than her and she's supposed to be a main character.

Due to the BIB perhaps it will be Sophie who obviously will have no interest whatsoever.
