Jays jive was brilliant but the main reason it was so popular because it was danced in week 3 when nobody was expecting a dance that good. If his jive had of been danced in week 10 it still would have been brilliant but i doubt jive-gate would have happened.
I loved them both so not voting! But overall Danny is the better dancer. he is the bets dancer ever in the history of Strictly. |

Jay's jive was excellent, authentic and almost foot perfect.
Danny's samba was far too frantic, with time taken up at the start with what Len would call "faffing abaht". It was also not with quite a few faults. |

For me I still watch Jay and Aliona's jive today. I loved that I knew he was good but had no idea just how good. It was perfect to me.
Dance is such a personal thing and for me a contestants personality can greatly affect my enjoyment. If I don't warm to a person or they're their own biggest fan I turn off. Jay had such a sweet personality and was horrifically under marked for that Jive (too early to give a 40, yeah right). Quite a few contestants have been technically good dancers but have lacked something - personality, humility, depth, emotion, feeling or even a genuine love for what they're doing as opposed to a must win must be the best attitude. That's why I don't vote. Danny will win because he must. There's no other outright contender to vote for. And I don't think I should vote - as much as I love the dancing a big part of it for me is if I warm to the person. I don't warm to Danny. I feel sorry for Claudia, I admire judge finders obvious love of dance (he'll never win) I think Ore has charm and personality but a restricted skillet and Louise is nice. Just nice. Her dance is also slightly restricted. So while I rejoiced in Jay's victory, Dannys for me will be 'meh'. Jaliona forever. 😊 |

We had no idea how good Jay was going to be - people were predicting scores of low 30s tops for it. By the time Danny did his samba, we were well aware that he was the ringiest ringer that ever did ring.
I also believe that it was no coincidence that they danced last that night. Talk about predictability based on expected "big things"... So, maybe everyone else here fell into your perceived category - I certainly did not and said so at the time on these forums. |

Difficult one.
IMO Jay could never have pulled off that Samba but Danny could have danced Jays jive. For that reason i've voted for Danny. It has to be said though that the samba had nowhere near the same impact on me as the Jive did. |
