I was reading it and it just vanished!

I was half way through reaffirming my belief that many of the regulars are clinically insane only to discover that the thread had gone. Might start my own soap discussion forum, where discourse is actually tolerated rather than the cracks papered over..

Why would the other thread get deleted? It was hardly offensive to anyone.

First you see then you don't.

It's the overzealous moderators noticing a few reports come in their inbox and then going with a catch all approach.

I spent ages on my reply when I finally did one and the thread goes minutes later......

I guess somebody who has taken Kens advice about higher education has achieved it and now knows what's best for schmucks like us. Our minds need protecting.

An alternative for those of us who are sick to death of the moderation on here. GIven the news about Digital Spy downsizing, I'd suggest those of you who aren't ready to jump ship yet bookmark it for when this place does go down. Layout is work in progress - it won't stay that ugly for long.

The name of the other forum is censored by DS? I don't use the other forum but that is pathetic.

It's an free forum hosting site, the hoster part of the url - freeforum is censored by DS.

Of course you don't use the forum, it's just been created.

I thought the link was to a different forum that is commonly referenced to on here, sorry about my ignorance.

So someone who has been complaining about the posters on here creates a forum and then asks posters on here to join. You couldn't make it up

I haven't complaining about the majority of posters. There's a tiny minority here who are insane, they are also welcome over there though. Never indicated insanity is anything bad.

How's that other soap forum that you moderate with your co owners btw. Can't remember what the name was but I'm sure I'm a member on that too. I remember it being blue.

No thanks, if these new boards allow terms like 'clinically insane'to be used so regularly to insult and degrade.

I blame Brexit for this. Ever since Brexit happened, people just haven't had any interest in posting on soap forums anymore .

I mean it's not like most people don't go out and socialise with friends...

This has turned me completely against children. I must admit I wasn't a great admirer of fishwife Anna but she had enough smarts to ship Faye's child up to Boston or wherever, so she could scream all she liked, when she liked, and live la dolce vita. The other children that are left on the street wander around in a sea of stupidity because every time we say something, any resident who is within arms length of a pair of ear muffs, immediately puts them on the child's head. I on the other hand take the view that if children don't pay attention and participate in adult conversation, they should get a size ten in their ass. I would have that famous hospital bed booked solid with children having boots being removed from them on a daily basis. Will nobody think of the adults.

Particularly when it's your birthday in early December and you celebrate it with 3 different groups of friends on 3 different days starting at the end of November (I'm having a fun week!!)
