I hope he realises that he came across as a complete spiteful idiot and is ashamed that a grown man who people thought they could respect was seen participating in playground bullying campaigns.

Excellent news, nasty old git he should have been out several days ago. Of course nothing will be mentioned about his horrible nasty behaviour. Instead he'll have the producers, presenters etc., fawning over him!

Wait until they get to gush allover him On the after kiddy show. Martin will need some ice cold cloths to cool his ears down.

I really rated Larry over the first week or so, he seemed to be a top man and was looking after everyone. Then he got more and more grumpy as the second week went into the third. I think he was way OTT against Martin especially. I'm not sure now who the more real Larry is, the nice chap that went in or the grumpy moaner who went out!

Was my favourite to win for the first week.
As he went out I think he's the worst of the lot this year. Including the likes of Adumb. Absolutely spoilt it for himself. Nasty piece of work and I'm glad the mask dropped. If my dad had gone in there and been like that I'd have been genuinely ashamed of them. |

So glad he got voted out. He was gutted he'd gone before Martin - who is still viewed as the interloper. Adam was also very shocked to see Larry go. The camp mates have no sense of what the edits are showing. I just wish the producers would give us a fair representation of what is happening so that we can judge more accurately. It's really not the viewers fault if don't agree with the camp mates.
It was extremely awkward when Larry watched his footage and A&D asked him about his dislike of Martin. Either he didn't realise that he disliked Martin or else he was annoyed for being exposed. And just one more thing - don't think Carol was best pleased about her kiss on the lips from Larry when she left! 😝 |

It's often been said that it's difficult for anyone to hide their true nature for the entire duration of a show like this. I suspect that's the case with Larry. He reminds me of a boss I once had, who would pick up on a triviality and allow it to fester until it would all come out in a prolonged rant. I used to put it down as an age related mental issue.

Did anyone ask him about that "lower middle class snob" retort?
What the hell was behind that - does he think he's working class and that Martin was looking down on him... or it is that the great Larry Lamb is sooo upper-middle and it was just hell having to live with such plebs... Either way, so glad he's gone. Did himself no favours. |

Larry baffles me, I didn't know much about him before the jungle apart from a prog he did about living on benefits & he didn't come across too well on that.
Then when he appeared on I'm a Celeb, I quite liked him but then I started to see glimpses of, not quite so pleasant Larry that I wouldn't say were entirely down to tiredness, boredom & hunger. I've came to the conclusion that, whoever you are there will be no pretence with Larry & you'll know exactly where you stand with him & that's fair enough but in that kind of environment, I do feel a little more tact was needed. Yes, Martin was beyond irritating at times & nobody could be blamed for getting snippy with him but there were times I think Larry would've came across better if he'd just walked away/laughed it off like the others seemed to do. It would be interesting if we had live feed so we could see the full picture of what led up to these types of situations. |

Carole Vorderman has a reputation for being a diva, but managed to show us her better side, Larry Lamb I thought was a 100% surefire winner, but turned out to be a right tosser. I suppose that's the attraction of the show; it's not the bugs or the trials, it's finding out about the celebs' personalities.

Don't ever recall reports of her being a diva. ![]() A bit harsh describing Larry as 'right tosser' yes, we saw him in a bad light 2 or 3 times but on the whole we saw a really decent man. |

They just did not get on and there's fault on both sides for that, but I liked that Larry, in his exit interview, did zero back-tracking and made no bones or excuses for the fact that Martin got on his very last nerve. |

I don't think Larry is half as bad as he's being painted. He and Martin might have gotten along fine outside the jungle but they just rubbed each other up the wrong way in a confined and emotionally charged space, and what we saw was real human emotion rather than manufactured producer-led crap. I'm a big fan of the former.

See, when I read posts like this about Larry, I totally agree. Even without Martin, living like that would drive me nuts & I know I'd be like a bear with a sore head the majority of the time so can understand him getting p***ed off but there was one or 2 occasions his actions came over, imo, a bit nasty.
However as I said on another thread, on the whole, a decent guy. Not another thread, this thread ![]()

She said they rubbed each other up the wrong way from the start, it was quite strong at times and we don't get to see a lot of stuff. They would get on better in a different environment but they'd never be best buddies. Nothing whatsoever about Larry picking on Martin!! I looked at every part of the Extra show wondering if she'd said more about the teo of them and no of course she hadn't. Unbelievable! ![]() She said she chose Martin for the task in case he was left until last, there was a bit of picking went on with Martin. That was it, no more detail. Larry was excellent too in his interview and said when asked that Martin irritated him but he meant well and they're all lovely people. If people are up front or if they talk behind backs, they're equally damned.

Going by what Ive read about him, he wasnt too great a husband or father either, how could he backtrack when it was there on the screen what he was like in there.
I know nothing about his private life and care even less since it has zero relevance here.
