What is it with this year and celebrity deaths? Seems like the Grim Reaper Inc has done a review and found the celeb division hasn't been meeting its targets for the past few years. So they've been told to pull their scythes out or it's pay cuts all round.

Wonder if Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand will have anything to say or if they will keep their gobs shut?
Why would they feel the need to say anything ?. They weren't responsible for his death.

If either of them do comment, I can't imagine it'll be anything less than a glowing tribute, or are you expecting them to basically point and laugh ?

Kept that secret he died on the 23rd November, then laid to rest on 1st Dec. RIP .

I wonder if those two dimwits who upset him will pay respect.

Very sad. He seemed such a nice, gentle man. Thoughts with his friends and family.

Errr he's NOT dead! This is a hoax! Andrew Sachs is still very much alive!
I doubt it. If the BBC and ITV are reporting that he's dead, he'll be dead.

Plus the fact that his son was on BBC Breakfast this morning and his funeral was earlier this week.

RIP Andrew, another one taken by the dreadful dementia illness, such a shame that a lot of people will remember him for his most recent headlines when he was pranked by that vile cretin, Russell Brand.

They kept it private, not secret.

The episode Communication Problems is on BBC1 tonight at 7:30

Both of them cowards so I'm doubting they'll even go there.

But I must say, the British comedians that year of the Bland/Ross controversy who defended the pair of them during that years British Comedy Awards, accusing those who rightly complained about their actions as "probably never listened to the radio show in question" have since slaughtered and got on their moral high horse outrage Virtue Signalling over Donald Trump for, lets be honest, saying nasty things but not as bad as Bland and Ross did, shows those tools up as being hypocrites.

Alan Carr being worst offender of the lot.

But neither Bland or Ross will get the glowing and loving tributes from the fans and critics when they die as Andrew Sachs did today, so that's some comfort.

R.I.P Andrew Sachs.

They don't need to say anything but his widow clearly hasn't forgotten.

To be fair to Sachs (a wonderful comic actor, who will be missed), when he was being hounded by the meeja for his reaction, he always seemed a bit bemused that everyone was making such a fuss. Or at least, that's how I recall it. I may be wrong.

I think he would have been content to let it go but his wife wasn't. It should have been forgotten about when the BBC punished the culprits but, to quote Vic Reeves, she just wouldn't let it lie.
