Thank you to the mole and Monaogg for the spoler and this thread. Can't believe that next week will be the last one of this series - it's flown by. Same time next week folks?

All my votes will be going to Claudia next week and I might even do some phone ones too

yes AT does not belong to either so theoretically Ore could drop samba and doe AT with Qucikstep

Thanks for the spoiler as ever.

If I were to guess at next week's dances... I'd echo what Stuart said:

Claudia - Quickstep / Rumba (skipping Tango)
Danny - American Smooth / Salsa (skipping Waltz)
Louise - Tango / Salsa (skipping Samba)
Ore - Argentine Tango / Samba (skipping Quickstep)

I think Rinder and Ed having no latins left was just because they didn't expect either of them to make the semis (and, sure enough, they didn't).

AT is considered a ballroom for the purposes of Strictly.

I love Ore but i did expect him in the DO with Rinder, sadly, glad he got saved.

See you all next week for the last spoiler thread

She will get my 5 votes even if she falls over.

If they want different dances for all contestants next week they could go for:
Claudia & AJ - Quickstep / Rumba
Danny & Oti - American Smooth / Salsa
Louise & Kevin - Tango / Samba
Ore & Joanne - Argentine Tango / Quickstep [AT seems to be Latin/Ballroom on SCD depending on what suits]

Whatever the dances I feel Danny will be top of the leader board.

Not surprised that Judge Rinder has gone - loved watching him, but he was clearly the weakest dancer left.

My prediction for next week's dances, they'll avoid duplicating dances wherever possible, so apart from a forced samba/salsa double up (and I think it'll be samba), the other dances will be different. Here's my list:

Claudia & AJ - Quickstep / Rumba
Danny & Oti - Waltz / Salsa
Louise & Kevin - Tango / Samba
Ore & Joanne - Argentine Tango / Samba

My one question mark would be Danny's AS, but the salsa is a lift-heavy dance, and I don't think they'd force him to train for 2 separate dances where he'd be expected to perform something like 6 lifts. I rather suspect that his show dance will incorporate elements of an AS, and Oti will stretch his lift capability in the final, so they'll look to keep their powder dry just a touch, and he'll end up with the waltz instead. It's a very long time since Danny did anything soft or floaty (it may be never!), so he really ought to push himself and get a super-romantic waltz for his semi-final performance.

BTW, this also gives us the closest we'll get to a Clifton match up with Tango v AT, and two sambas head to head. Wanna bet they'll milk that one for all it's worth?!!!

AT is such a crowd pleaser and the judges always score it high so it would be a good choice. If Danny does a waltz it could put him further down, so hopefully he will do an American Smooth, I would love to see that.

Ed's tweet said he was doing the rumba to a song that's not from a musical. I think he was blagging and it would have been done in the semis, and he was just trying to tease people that they were missing out on a LOLRANDOM Ed Balls latin dance instead of a ballroom routine, which is what he would have done.

As for which dance is what "genre", we know Georgia had Argentine Tango paired with Viennese Waltz for the semis last year before her illness meant plans were changed. They've had AT as both ballroom and latin before (and I'm guessing would have classed it as latin for Rinder to stick it with a waltz)

Very unlikely (if they want Claudia out).

Pixie was going to do American Smooth and Salsa in her semi, Natalie did Salsa and AT, in the semi-finals of series 10 Lisa, Kimberley and Dani ALL had two dances where lifts were allowed (although Dani's was due to fudging), and Holly and Scott both had AT/Charleston. So it's not unprecedented.

I think if they were ever going to really push a Clifton v Clifton, it would be if Karen was still in and Ore hadn't had multiple dance-off trips. The way the series has gone has sort of put the kibosh on that storyline.

Thanks for the spoiler, totally expected from the off.
Barring a disaster its Danny and Louise for the final. With hopefully Claudia. As others have said, Ore and Joanne are irritating.

I was hoping for an Ore vs Louise Dance Off but I can accept this result.

I'll be using all my votes for Claudia and AJ next week.

Thank you for the spoiler.

I would like a Danny and Claudia final, but can't see it happening. Louise does nothing for me at all and cant warm to Ore and Joanna.

Think it will depend which dances the couples have chosen to avoid, rather than dictats from above.

Claudia's was the best dance of the night for me. I loved Danny's in line sequence and it made him look like a pro, which was surely Oti's intent, but it's just not fair that Claudia does a perfect routine and still gets only one ten whereas Danny messed up the basics and got two. She is definitely the most improved and it should be recognised!!

Not the first time either from what I remember. He seems to have a big ego.

The general feeling I get from where it shows up (outside of series where they've horribly fudged things) is that it's "usually" considered ballroom since being demoted from semis-only.

Has this year been the most predictable yet in terms of eliminations ? I feel like it is. I really dont think we had a shocking elimination. ....wow, just thought about this. How strange....everyone went in the order I actually expected them to leave. Except Will who willingly left and Lesley who I expected to stay slightly longer; nothing really surprising.

I actually don't think a rumba is a terrible dance for Claudia to have at this stage tbh. As I've said above, I watch DWTS and previous gymnasts on that have done really well at the rumba and I would imagine being an artistic gymnastic would have its advantages e.g creating lines, fluidity etc.

TBH anyone barring Danny could be in the B2 at this stage so it really comes down to who dances best on the night between the other three. Really hope Ore and Claudia makes the final!!!
