I think it varies from week to week depending on the dance and most of the public aren't as invested in individuals as on this forum.

you would feel the public is warming towards Claudia lately tho... she's getting more support on twitter and facebook than ever.

Thanks for the spoiler.
I expected the Judge to go, much as I love him. He did very well to get so far.

Claudia is marvellous! She's my favourite with Ore not far behind but, quite honestly, Danny and Louise are sensational dancers so I think they will be the final two.

Many thanks Monaogg and spoiler for result .

I knew the music for the dance by Ore and Jo didn't have the wow factor and was quite boring and practically impossible to dance to . Compare that to the wonderful wow factor music given to Louise and Kevin .

He has to dance the Samba, dance choice alone throws him under said bus! His only saving grace is that his ballroom is likely to be Quickstep, which Jo excels at and which they could then dance in the seemingly inevitable dance-off.

I think he's better than Claudia anyway, so I don't care if the judges put him through so long as it's not at Danny's expense!

That cannot happen. End of.

If she does the Rumba and goes on second (death slot) then we know the game is afoot.”

Little bit of news for you - the winner has not been on the tour every year. Gotta love conspiracy theories when they're based on completely false presumptions...

James Jordan did hint at what really goes on and somehow I don't think he is wrong.

Now the lovely Judge has gone I think I am going to route for Claudia but it is a waste of time because I am sure Kevin and Louise will win - because it has been pre-ordained by the powers that be.”

Go and buy a dictionary, look up the word "opinion" and read what it says - in case, you're not aware, judges are allowed to have opinions. In fact, they're paid to have opinions. So overmarking/undermarking is nothing but opinion.

Plus you have no proof of bias whatsoever. But don't let fact and truth get in the way of hyperbole...

I know Judge Rinder is not as technically good as some, but for me he's been an utter joy to watch and the show will be much poorer now that him and Ed have left. I fear we could be heading for a very bland final this year! Still, for Judge to come fifth is a very good result and he should feel proud of what he's achieved, likewise Oksana had a great first year. I hope she's back next time.”

I agree with all of this Tejas- and I will so miss Judge Rinder on the show! I'm so sad he's gone out- I feel like part of the joy has gone out of this show, too. Yes he can be proud of how far he's come. He worked so hard and he was never just a 'comedy contestant'. I loved his partnership with Oksana!
At least now he doesn't have to face the nastiness from the judges anymore- some of it was just uncalled for.
Tomorrow night will be hard to watch!
Thank you to the moles for the result, and thread holders!

Thank you for the result. I guessed it right. Judge was not up to it this evening. However he has been a blast this series.

They don't need to protect anyone . They control who gets sent gome if Ore arrives in the dance off. Claudia's mark, Claudia's music, the running order, and which dance is redanced all decide who is in the dance off with him, and how easy it is to claim who should go. .

Claudia if last in the marks needs to come second in the vote to avoid the bottom two - and if she's there, and up against Louise, or Danny, or Ore isn't notably worse, they will send her home.

Sadly many of the voters can't find the on switch on a computer, twitter and facebook followings usually don't turn up reflected in votes, and youtube viewings don't have a good predictive history.

I worry for next week for Claudia and rumba, given the height difference. I looked up AJ doing rumba (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZ38MjHiWQw) and got more concerned.

Thanks so much for the spoiler. I am so pleased that Ore is through to the Semi Finals. His dance with Joanne last night, made me cry. I thought it was achingly beautiful.

Many thanks for the spoiler. Sad to see JR go, he was one of my favourites. Rooting for Claudia now!

Thank you for the spoiler.

Don't know if I can be bothered to watch any more. The last 4 may be good dancers, but none of them has a spark for me.

Will be interesting to see if Will Young even bothers to come back as they bring back the departed. I am guessing he won't...

Thanks for the spoiler as ever.

I agree with you there. He drew the short straw in both the music and dance choice this week and was always going to be up against it.
Louise's dance was very entertaining but you couldn't really call it a quickstep. There was hardly any actual quickstep content in there.

People get really hung up on the scores couples get. When all that matters is their position on the leader board. Ed last week, really was the worst of those remaining as shown by his position at the bottom of the leader-board.

The public vote alone decides the winners, no matter who the judges favour.

Thanks for the spoiler. Imo it was the right result last night, but having said that the Judge did
himself proud he did learn to dance....

He was asked but 'politely declined'. There is a thread about this on this forum.

I'm not at all surprised at the bottom 2 this week. I enjoyed JR the whole way through, never even knew who he was when the series started and I think Oksana has had a very good 1st series.

Many thanks to all who brought the spoiler and who run this thread. I was only 1 minute out regarding the time.

Disappointed, but not surprised.

For me the only fun now will be the surrounding snark and the hope of a super-ringer face-off in next week's dance off. Otherwise it will all be earnest avowals and humble brags from here on out.

Thanks for the spoiler!

The cha cha challenge didn't change anything about Ed's position or points. They could have used it to break all the ties but didn't, so he still kept 2 points instead of 1. All that challenge really did was help Ore out while disadvantaging Claudia.

Pretty much as expected. It will be Ore vs Claudia next week, with Ore going through.

I have a feeling Claudia's momentum has built at just the right time. Much will depend on whether those in the dance off are genuinely allowed to choose their dance for the dance off.
