What name??
04-12-2016
Claudia is in trouble next week. She has to dance either the quickstep or rhumba and both will be problematic for her. She'll probably probably have to go for the rhumba as there is no way to fix the height difference in the quickstep by just carrying her around for half the dance but the rhumba is very exposing and she is mediocre at best at Latin.

I foresee lots of her being swung around with a toe on the floor and possibly some draggImg next week.

Well for one it wasn't really a quickstep and bits were messy. Just because the judges don't say something negative doesn't mean it was perfect, I would have thought it was obvious that all they do in commenting is try to say something memorable in the limited time they have - they can't give chapter and verse on what they thought!

Anyway, no-one deserved a 10 last night, the trouble was they overmarked Ore so had nowhere to go but up!

Mona, do you ever sleep? This was posted at 0730! Thanks, again X

Pigs might fly (Pixie Lott undone by Len holding a grudge after Trent had the audacity to answer back), the Judges have to give a reason but this can be any old twaddle.

Ore & Joanne - Argentine Tango or Quickstep / Samba

Danny is good at anything, but with so few couples left nobody is safe from the DO. It will be interesting to see what they do with Ore next week - they've intimated they want him in the final but he's obviously not popular, and AT and Samba is a potential nightmare combination for a semi. Rumba could potentially be a bit of a problem for Claudia, as could latin for Louise - Salsa would be bad news all the way for her.

(Fun Fact: Every time Kevin has done a salsa, it has either been bottom of the leaderboard or in the dance-off.)”

Let us hope he gets the salsa ... stick Ore there as well and let us see the judges go apoletic.

A big thank you to everyone involved in producing this thread, I cannot believe next week is the last one

But there may be some evidence in social media likes and shares, youtube views and the popularity polling from Yougov which have usually had Danny and Louise in first and second place. It seems they are the two most popular dancers with the public as well as the Strictly judges.
I very much doubt either will be in the final Dance Off - I just can't see how it can be anyone other than Ore and Claudia.
This would be a pity IMO as Claudia and Ore, as the two remaining non-professionally trained stage school dancers who have learnt to dance through the series, should both be in the final.

I don't think Louise is pulling more votes than Claudia in the last 2 weeks... and the last yougov survey was done few weeks ago.

and to add to that social media thingy... Claudia top the viewing figure this week.

Danny's tango didn't deserve a 10, nor did it deserve a 9, 8's at the most.
His routine was riddled with mistakes.

Louise didn't deserve a 10 either, 9 max. Kevin played it safe yet again...
Their dance was more out of hold than in, just like with Kellie last year and their VW. Both dances had lifts and not one Judge pointed this out nor did they penalise

Going by Danny & Louise's dances, IMO Ore wasn't overmarked at all.

Danny , it has to be said, has a great deal more time to rehearse than anyone , except possibly Louise. I don't know if she had a "day job". He therefore has far more time to perfect the dance each week. I am aware he us a very good dancer and that Oti's choreography is excellent but I haven't really taken to Danny.

Certainly, Claudia, Ore and Judge Rinder have had either jobs or training to take up their time.

exactly

Ore, Claudia & JR all have day jobs and don't have the luxury like Danny & Louise to train 10 hours plus per day.

Just read the article in the Mirror. I mean, honestly, what a load of ****

No one from the GBP is going to look at your very clearly marked Spoiler site if they do not want to know the result.

I despair with papers sometimes. Making something out of nothing seems to be an art form these days

I just would have liked a slightly more balanced view. I go into detail about how the site started and why I do it in the about page on my website but there's nothing about that in the articles.

Still as they say there is no such thing as bad publicity 😂

Does Claudia have a 'day job'? Surely if she was competing she'd have to train for that and not even be in this? I assumed she'd taken some time off.

She's training for a competition, I think.

Does Ore have a regular day job? I thought that he does bits and pieces of presenting but doesn't have a regular 9-5 presenting job.

Claudia returned to training about 4 weeks ago

Yes Ore does have a regular day job
He was also on the Judging Panel for this years SPOTY which happened cpl of weeks ago, if I remember rightly that was over 3 full day period. Not only did they have to pick the short list for SPOTY but also Overseas Personality & Team of the Year, plus the other categories in the competition.

Daily Mail have asked me for comment on Twitter (only news agency to do so as yet).

God knows what slant they're going to put on the article given their dislike for the BBC

The only remaining one left with work commitments is Rob Finder ! He has Sid all the others with commitments during the show were voted out early on!
Ore isn't working wile on programme and Claudia does have dance training but just individual never with a partner or troupe! She has to for her floor routines ! Rob spends two days a week recording and can't release tulle after 9 pm on those days which he does till 1 or 2 in the morning ! Despite leaving at 5 am for London!
There were others but as he says they don't stand a chance with those who can rehearse all day and night if necessary !
Danny dropped out of his tour to do this leaving and understudy to take his place saw him at leicester Haymarket few weeks before strictly !

I agree. Both have made so much progress and are dancing along with celebs who have dance experience. OK if they hadn't made any progress, I would be happy for them to go. But the progress these two have made is phenomenal.

I certainly agree that Ore should be in the final but I am getting tired of Claudia's over-reliance on lifts and gymnastics. This is a dance and entertainment show not a gymnastics and entertainment show and it's a long time since we saw her do a classic dance.
