If you mean the racism thing... that's a total non-controversy. I don't see it being a factor. Ore obviously isn't popular and if he gets the Argentine Tango to go with his Samba in the semi, then that's the draw from hell. Provided Claudia's dances go down well - and she is the only person I can see Ore beating to a spot in the final - I think she'll be OK.

And all the comments , bar one , are fully supportive and pointing out that your site is labelled as a spoiler site.

Alongside the gaff by johnnie walker on radio 2 today, I think the Beeb are not looking too good in all of this

Wasn't there a "shock horror" piece a couple of years ago, when someone at one of the papers worked out that Steve Wrights "Love Songs" on a Sunday morning on Radio 2, is actually recorded beforehand.

Bizarre.

The DM comments are that insiders are told not to release the results ahead of the screening. It seems to forget that 720(?) members of the public are in the audience and nobody tells them what to do or not do.

I don't think the DM comes out very well in this either, judging by the comments!

I've been avoiding most of the comments on the articles but I did glance over the Daily Mail ones and noticed the same.

Of course the Daily Mail is usually pretty anti BBC so that may be partly why

A thought just occurred to me that maybe the DM deliberately want to send people to your site to undermine the BBC?
I am surprised they are so determined there is an insider and it hasn't seemed to have occurred to them that it could be a member of the audience.
I can't understand why anyone would be shocked that a site clearly called Strictly Spoiler would indeed contain the spoiler!

I'm sure they know that perfectly well but acknowledging it doesn't suit their reporting agenda. As far as garnering max clicks and comments is concerned, much better to try and stoke some sort of faux outrage.

Faux outrage? From the Daily Mail? That almost never happens

Surely that is the fault of the producers

Can't believe I've just commented on a Daily Mail article. I feel dirty.

If anyone sees what I said, I meant it with complete respect - sadly the word count didn't let me get my entire point out so I've tried to be as concise as possible.

Just seen your comment

If it was a plant by the BBC it has backfired spectacularly. I've had a ton of referrals from the daily mail and the busiest 4 hours ever on a Sunday afternoon since the article (complete with link) broke on the DM website

The Christmas special spoiler has been viewed 30k times over this weekend too

It just seems less than coincidental that all of them ran it in such close succession. Has to be the Beeb saying something at a press briefing or something.

How is that the Producers fault, they don't choreograph the dances

may as well be, they tell the choreographers what would be good for the programme, I am sure the pros have to run their ideas past them

I've often seen a domino kind of effect with stories in the media especially on those newspapers I follow on Facebook.

Normally one paper runs a story, then another runs their version of it, then another and so on.

Doesn't mean that the story hasn't come from the BBC as you suspect. If it has then like I said it has backfired big time. My site has been busier than ever and the majority of comments I've seen on the news sites have been positive or neutral

I just gone through all the comments, majority are defending you Dave & plenty mentioned Digital Spy by name

I also added my second comment thanking DM for their publicity, because this is the best weekend you've had on your website

Just a word about the spoiler. If the BBC don't want it to leak out they would have a live results show rather then a pre recorded Sunday show. That's their choice.

Therefore its inevitable that it will leak.
