Just a little update. Pebble 2 usage started on christmas day.
It really is a MUCH better device than anything from fitbit. I have the Pebble on my left wrist, fitbit blaze on the right. Both seem to give broadly similar step counts, HRM on both is okay when resting, hilariously inaccurate when exercising (I do a lot of indoor rowing, no optical HRM records that with accuracy). But the overall interface and operation is clearly better on the pebble. Never any problems with sync, notifications are handled way better. And the always on screen is brilliant. |

I bought a Pebble Steel last Christmas as it was on offer. It's relatively simple and the battery lasts. I use it mainly for notifications as I tend to miss calls when my iPhone is on silent. It just works. If support stops I suppose I will eventually have to find a iWatch on offer.
I suppose nothing comes with a guarantee these days as companies are bought and sold, but I had hope it would last mire than a couple of years. Patrick North Worcs |
