Out of curiosity, is it possible for someone who is top of the judges' leaderboard in week 2 (the first week with a public vote) to end up in the dance-off that week?

I'm new to this board but I'd say the show is a bit short towards the end of the series. Is it really worth watching just five dances tonight? Why not get them to do two dances at this stage?

It's always possible if the public vote is a complete reversal of the judges leaderboard.

Yes, they used to do two dances in the quarter finals.

Thanks So tonight's the the quarter finals? I think the main reason SCD is so meh is the script. I think if they made it edgier for adults to watch, rather than simply satisfying the typical "family" audience, it'd be a lot more enjoyable. I agree that there are too many good dancers starting off already, and as a novice dancer it's not particularly inspiring. There's no journey, and too much of it seems like a glorified popularity contest you see in a school setting.

I'm LOVING this series. Great dancing . That's all I care about. Don't care about 'personally'. Or about what pro dancers I like or don't. Just enjoying some really great choreography and dancing. Just fab! xx

The whole premise of the show doesn't really make sense anyway. People with zero to lots of dance experience competing with each other. But I guess that's the way it is with all of these types of reality shows- like X factor. Your always going to get different levels of experience.

Maybe they could shake the show up a bit by some how putting the celebs in to categories according to their level of experience and depending on the category they are in they get extra points? No.. I dont know what Im talking about! There's no way round it unless they only accept complete beginners on the show and they wont do that. But does seem so unfair that some of these celebrities have had years of dance experience. - Its not really a competition is it, or certainly not a fair one but I guess that's where our votes come in...

I think this series has been really flat and I hope it livens up next year. I can't put my finger on why.
The obvious top 3 have zero appeal for me and I don't care who wins.
I love Rob Rinder but he's obviously going to be the next one out.
Claudia I feel has been at a disadvantage throughout by having a partner who is too tall for her and imo not a great choreographer except to show himself off.
The judging has been biased.
It has all been a bit meh.

I tend to agree with you
