This week more history for Eastenders. June Brown who plays Dot has starred in more episodes than any other actress in Eastenders. The previous record was held by Pam St Clement. June had done over 1,700 episodes.
Wendy Richards episode count was 1,956 therefore the figures above are wrong. I am not denying that June Brown has done most episodes it's the figures that are wrong and it is very difficult to obtain accurate figures.
Pam St Clement did about 2,200 Eps so June must be more than that.

I wonder how many episodes Kathy has been in in total? I remember reading that Kathy was the first character to reach 1000 episode and that was all the way back in 1994. Bearing in mind she remained on the show for a further 4 years after that clocking up many more appearance and she's also featured very heavily since her return. Surely she cant be far behind 1,700 episodes, despite her very lengthy absence she must still be one of the most heavily featured characters.

5. Pauline Fowler (1840 episodes)”
Incorrect due to the fact Adam Woodyatt celebrated 3,000 eps earlier in the year and that Pauline did 1,956 as shown in the clip, however, he is closer than most.

Hmmm on the one hand Dully is so adept with his organisation skills. On the other hand Aaron really knows his EE history. I think there is only one way to settle this, they must duel to the death

Kathy was the first character to reach 1000 episodes but it can't have been in 1994 as EastEnders itself only reached 1000 episodes in 1994. Nigel and Debbie tied the knot in the 1000th episode that year.
And Kathy can't have been in every single episode for the first 9 years. I know Gillian took maternity leave in 1992.

You must be right because when she came back I remember reading she was on about 1070 Eps or there abouts so will now have passed the 1300 mark but she's still nowhere near the likes of Sharon or Dot
What was wrong with must episodes appearances rather than "ever done".
Also, I tend to take stats like this with a shaker full of salt, given that unless you've got the credits for each episode they are useless, and even if you've got the credits for each episode they can be inaccurate.
