In case anyone is interested:

Specifically, phones running Windows Phone 7, Android 2.1, Android 2.2, iOS 6 or lower will be affected before the turn of the year, with BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Nokia S40 and Nokia Symbian S60 surviving until June 30, 2017.

There can't be many phones running those versions of Android. My Galaxy S5, which is two and a half years old is running 6.0.1, so i should be good for a while yet

Blackberrry, i heard this new last month and just wonder how Blackberry owner can survive. Maybe some tricks?

As BB10 supports Android apps up to Jellybean, they'll be okay for a while - sideload the relevant whatsapp apk and they'll be good to go.
