Me and Oksana can't wait, we're really excited about performing our dance. I think it's going ok now I got the hang of being that close to her without hyperventilating.

I'll be starting the show shortly slightly earlier than planned due to the fact that the laptop I'm using is slower than using the internet on a Nokia 3310

As we found out, all of our couples were generated a dance with the opportunity to change that dance only once. They will each perform one dance. Their task was to pick a song suitable for the dance style they were performing.
However......... Our couples will also all perform a second dance selected by another couple. Each contestant were given the opportunity to sabotage a fellow competitor by choosing a song choice for a given dance that was deemed the most unsuitable for the dance style Nobody knows who has sabotaged them at this stage, or what second dance they will indeed be doing in that sabotage round. But there are rewards at stake for the best sabotage routines ![]() The contestants were divided into three teams of four. Those teams are........... Team 1 Ethan & Oksana Callum & Katya Queenie & Aljaz Ross & Chloe Team 2 Jess & Kevin Mitch & AJ Izzie & Gorka Danny & Natalie Team 3 Nick & Joanne Chris & Oti Riley & Karen East & Janette For the team that finishes with the best set of sabotage routines on average, they will each receive a 2 point bonus added to the public vote. For the second placed team they will each receive a 1 point bonus to their public vote. Whilst the team that finishes third will receive no extra points to their public vote. But more on the team efforts and sabotage round later. For now it's time to see our couples' individual performances ![]() With the honour of opening the show, please give a warm and festive welcome to Queenie & Aljaz ![]() |

All of our couples have now danced for the first time. But can the sabotage round change everything?
![]() Below are the sabotage dance styles and the song choices chosen for them. At this stage you will not know which of the dances your couple will dance to later today, or indeed which fellow contestant chose your sabotage routine . This will be revealed later this evening when you all dance your sabotage routine prior to the results being announced. So please keep your sabotage routine and partner a secret until then Sabotage Routines Paso Doble - 'Wild Horses' by Susan Boyle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5Mtzn_bLFg Tango - 'To Stop The Train' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0m4d...ature=youtu.be Argentine Tango - 'A Christmas Carol' by The Doctor Who Cast https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htHx-LRe9yQ Viennese Waltz - 'Firestarter' by The Prodigy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTYRGi-Q7U4 Salsa - 'O Holy Night' by Tiny Tim https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avbfBNL4IJM Rumba - 'Friday' by Rebecca Black https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfVs...ature=youtu.be Jive - 'Auld Lang Syne' by Susan Boyle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYZqKYc7lxs Samba - 'Christmas Is Quiet' by Cliff Richard https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=noIiDct679U American Smooth - 'Minions Christmas Song' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tQR...ature=youtu.be Charleston - 'A Whole New World' by Katie Price and Peter Andre https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYdLO1X02r0 Foxtrot - 'Do It Like A Dude' by Jessie J https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECYhygFaQI8 Cha Cha Cha - 'Marley & Marley' from The Muppet Christmas Carol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsiKOJOXMJU You will now get the chance to vote for the couples you would like to go through to the next round based on their earlier performances from 12 (favourite dance) to 1 (least favourite dance) On top of this you are now asked to anonymously rank the sabotage routines from 12 to 1. You are ranking the sabotage routines based on which one you think is the absolute worst song choice for the dance style selected. So 12 for the best sabotage and 1 for the sabotage you didn't think was actually sabotaged all that well LINES ARE NOW OPEN for you to vote for the couples you would like to see through. They are.................... Callum (doctorwhofancal) & Katya Jones Chris (captain_cherub) & Oti Mabuse Danny (Damahepa) & Natalie Lowe East (StrictlyEastend) & Janette Manrara Ethan (EthanE) & Oksana Platero Izzie (IzzieStar) & Gorka Marquez Jess (I've Got Class) & Kevin Clifton Mitch (pothuthic) & AJ Pritchard Nick (winter99) & Joanne Clifton Queenie (dancingqueen) & Aljaz Skorjanec Riley (RileyHollyoaks) & Karen Clifton Ross (Monsieur23) & Chloe Hewitt LINES WILL CLOSE AT 20:30 HOURS TONIGHT LINES ARE ALSO NOW OPEN for you to vote for your favourite sabotage routines. It's now time to find out which one of the dances from the earlier list each of our couples will dance and which fellow competitor sabotaged it for them ![]() First out onto the floor to dance their Rumba to 'Friday' by Rebecca Black (as sabotaged by Riley (RileyHollyoaks)) Please welcome..........
Spoiler
Ouch. How well will that fair for Riley & Karens team? Next to make a prat of themselves with their Cha Cha Cha to 'Marley and Marley' from The Muppets Christmas Carol (as sabotaged by Chris (captain_cherub))........... It's.........
Spoiler
Not sure if that Cha Cha Cha quite lived up to the last one. But it may have for Chris & Oti and their team Let's see who's next to be red faced on the dance floor with their Argentine Tango to 'A Christmas Carol' from the Doctor Who Cast (as sabotaged by Mitch (pothuthic)) Please welcome onto the floor........

The next couple to nervously take to the floor with their Foxtrot to 'Do It Like A Dude' by Jessie J (as sabotaged by East (StrictlyEastend)) Please welcome..........
Spoiler
From an elegant Waltz to a not so elegant Foxtrot. Could this make all the difference to what happens this evening? Nobody gets away lightly this evening as the next couple take on the Paso Doble to 'Wild Horses' by Susan Boyle (as sabotaged by Jess (I've Got Class))........... Show your appreciation for......,
Spoiler
Maybe not the worst choice of the evening song wise. But when twinned with a Paso Doble........ As if we haven't embarrassed enough people tonight, the next couple onto the floor with their Samba to 'Christmas Is Quiet' by Cliff Richard (as sabotaged by Izzie (IzzieStar)) Please welcome onto the floor........
Spoiler
Thanks for that delight Izzie. Nothing like a bit of Cliff Richard to make your ears bleed. |

The seventh couple to face their fate now with a Tango to 'To Stop The Train' (as sabotaged by Callum (doctorwhofancal)) It's..........
Spoiler
I take it back Izzie, my ears are now bleeding a pint of blood a minute. Could that Tango have done wonders for Callum & Karen's team? Next up we have a Jive to 'Auld Lang Syne' by Susan Boyle (as sabotaged by Nick (winter99))........... It's none other than.......
Spoiler
Susan has been doing the rounds tonight. Not sure showing up more than once in a sabotage round is the best form of publicity. Must be something about Susan. Particularly where DS is concerned. (Thankfully I don't need a co-host) Taking on a Salsa next to 'O Holy Night' by Tiny Tim (as sabotaged by Ethan (EthanE)) Please welcome onto the floor........
Spoiler
I think the less said about that the better for poor Riley & Karen. I dare say Ethan & Oksana are feeling pretty smug though |

Spoiler
Being subjected to Katie Price is bad enough, but Andre as well. Poor Danny & Natalie Will our final couple dodge the wrath of the American Smooth to 'Minions Christmas Song (as sabotaged by Danny (Damahepa)) Give it up for ........
Spoiler
I think thats a clear 'no' then All of our couples have now danced both dances. Shortly I will reveal the outcome from the sabotage vote and where each of the three teams have placed.
