Following that performance with their Foxtrot to 'Green Christmas' by Barenaked Ladies, it is of course, Ross & Chloe

Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0z9oLxfnC_4

East: 7
Mitch: 10
Nick: 10

Nick: Really loved the song, felt like a classic Foxtrot song and can imagine lots of nice choreography and a nice set up with it. It was an original choice and enjoyable to listen to. You'll be on Santa's good list.

That leaves the pair with an outstanding 27 points out of a possible 30

Taking to the floor next with a Tango to 'Hazy Shade Of Winter' by The Bangles. Welcome to our next set of finalists, Danny & Natalie

Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxrwImCJCqk

Mitch: 9
Nick: 9
Riley: 10

Riley: WOW! You really went for that, and I absolutely loved it! That was fantastic and best so far in my opinion

Barely far from the top with a score of 28 as we reach the mid point of our individual routines

Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5dt_8xXgqo

East: 9
Mitch: 8
Nick: 10

East: A great dance, passion, purpose and drama, a great job.

A total of 27 for Chris & Oti . This is shaping up to be very close indeed

Our fifth couple will dance the Rumba to 'Cry' by Rihanna. Please welcome, Ethan & Oksana

Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r07n_oqPSEo

East: 10
Mitch: 8
Riley: 9

Mitch: Me and Sharon the Puppet really enjoyed this routine, infact it made Sharon cry, it was saucy, sensual and sexy, and if anybody knows anything about sauciness and sexiness it's Sharon The Puppet

Sharon the Puppet would like to take this opportunity to offer discreet classes on sauciness and sexiness outside of the crucible at competitive prices, all ages welcome.

Another total of 27 for the pair means it's all to play for still in this final

[Due to strict advertising laws, Sharon the Puppet will not be asked to make an appearance at the after party]

Closing the individual routines with their Charleston to 'Sitting Pretty' from Cabaret is Queenie (dancing.queen) & Aljaz Skorjanec

Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtAC5CGCzvg

East: 9
Nick: 10
Riley: 8

East: I thought this was very good, you had the character nailed to the ground, it was fast, sharp and fantastic, overall, FAB-U-LOUS!

Wow, a very high scoring final across the board from all of our finalists as they finish up with a total of 27

So let's take a look at the final leader board ..........

CHRISTMAS LEADER BOARD

1. Izzie (IzzieStar) & Gorka - 30
2. Danny (Damahepa) & Natalie - 28
3=Chris (captain_cherub) & Oti - 27
3=Ethan (EthanE) & Oksana - 27
3=Queenie (dancing.queen) & Aljaz - 27
3=Ross (Monsieur23) & Chloe - 27

So there is how the leader board sits after the first performance. But how could the Fusion round impact the voting?

And with every finalist scoring a 10 it really does show how opinions differ. It will soon be up to you guys to decide the outcome

But first it's time for the Fusions

Dancing the first of three fusions now to 'Feeling Good' by Muse. Please welcome to the floor Chris & Oti and Queenie & Aljaz

Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmwRQqJsegw

Fusion: American Smooth/Paso Doble

East: 8
Mitch: 8
Nick: 10

Nick:
A really lovely choice, the song was beautiful for an American Smooth and I could easily imagine the Paso Doble parts, the song was vibrant and enjoyable and original, well done

A nice start with a high score of 26

Next up with their fusion to 'First Time In Forever' from Frozen, it's Danny & Natalie and Ross & Chloe

Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVm2e9zJB_M

Fusion: Quickstep/Rumba

Mitch: 9
Nick: 10
Riley: 8

Riley: I'm not gonna lie, I didn't enjoy the rumba part. I thought it was a bit too generic but also lacked the wow factor. However, I did love the QS, so well done

That gives them a total of 27

East: That was exciting, I absolutely loved it!

It couldn't have been closer. Literally ONE point in it . But as joint winners with a score of 27 out of 30, that does mean that Danny & Natalie, Ethan & Oksana, Izzie & Gorka and Ross & Chloe all receive a 2 point head start to the public vote. With just one point behind them and a total of 26 from a possible 30 it means that Chris & Oti and Queenie & Aljaz also receive a vote advantage and will go into the public vote with a 1 point head start

LINES ARE NOW OPEN

To vote please rank the 6 finalists from 6 (favourite) to 1. Anyone can vote. Lines will close at 19:00 hours TOMORROW. After which I will be back to reveal your Christmas CHAMPIONS and runners up

great show Ash, I'm gonna enjoy listening to the songs

good luck all

so does that mean we only find out the winner and not where we were placed or will you announce 2 runners up like on Strictly?

If it was a full series you'd all rank somewhere but as it's a Christmas Special it's a winner and one runner up

It's just like real Strictly then, cogs in a wheel like Len said.

It must take lots of time and effort for the host and I think the judges are great, they didn't get voted through then they came back as judges and said really positive things. When I'm a judge I'm always a complete ****.

Oh good lord 😂 Dizzie ride again! Well done Izzie on your now inevitable win, I'm utterly thrilled with top two- as I'm notoriously awful in Christmas specials!

Well done to Chris, Ross, Queenie, & Ethan! It's been a tough and tight contest you all did exceptionally well!
