As I previously said in another thread great interview. I thought they were going to show Larry calling him a middle class snob for a minute when the clip showed Larry and Wayne talking.
It would have been interesting if they had asked Wayne about his issues with martin whilst he was there. In previous years I'm sure when there's a double eviction they sit together through the interviews and then leave in order. |

Yes, I think we know why they didn't adopt this formula this time - not enough opportunity to have a dig at Martin.

I knew he would never win, but he was certainly my winner in there.
I liked that he was intelligent, insightful and thoughtful. And of course amazingly calm under duress from the likes of Larry and his group of followers. So glad he beat Larry! The show will be all the poorer without his presence in the last bit of this years series. Congratulations Martin. You were great! |

His family and children should be proud of him. Can't say the same for the other fathers in the camp as they have demonstrated to their children how to pick on the weakest.

When Martin first entered camp I thought he would potentially ruin the series, he seemed so objectionable, but he turned out to be the most entertaining in there.

I really hope he's not upset when he realises quite how unpleasant people were behind his back (and I include Ant & Dec and Joe Swash et al in that). He's worth all of the other male contestants put together and his grace in his interview underlined that.

I wonder if Martin suffers a bit from Borderline Personality Disorder.

Nope, one of the symptoms of BPD is an extreme desire to be liked/loved and another to be hypersensitive. He may have mild symptoms of it.

Lovely guy and the best exit interview yet. As for tosser Wayne, how come he got all the confetti on the bridge? A piece of work if ever thete was one, but according to him I need my head testing for not liking the same bums he does. Turd. |

But that also explains why the others didn't get on with him, and why Ant and Dec just sat there looking confused during the interview. Martin's in a different class - no wonder he didn't fit in.

Well done Martin! As a fan before he went in I knew he would turn it around and come out on top (figuratively if not actually). I think the clips of he and Wayne watching themselves spoke volumes - Martin genuinely happy and laughing, and Wayne just studying them stony faced to see how he came across. I'm glad he beat Larry. Beating Wayne would have been a nice bonus, but can't have everything. Genuinely don't know who I want to win now.

I actually think Ant and Dec did a great interview with Martin and really did like him. Don't know why people think they didn't. Agreed with other comments though, his interview was fab, I really do think he learned a lot in there. It's great when you can accept the way you are and I think he has.

The bit about him being bullied at school and the overcompensating basically explained everything, ant and Dec nodding in agreement. Great stuff

Sorry he's gone. My friend used to work with him at the Beeb and knows him well. She says he's a great guy and good fun to work with!

Great interview.
I think his family have every right to be very proud of him and the way he handled himself both in the jungle and in the interview. |

Have to agree with the majority of the posts on this thread. I really enjoyed Martin in the camp and I think viewing will be duller for it. His only regret should be that he couldn't convince some of the others to pull off the "coup" but, that wasn't his fault it was the others who were more interested in AT than having fun.
Lovely campmate who should have been in the final (imho).

Viewers seem to like dick heads and immature behaviour and basically infantile people those who are serious don't get in the last four And because one is serious does not mean they are not funny or have a sense of humour |
