After the whole sorry saga of trying to cancel my contract instead of upgrading with vodafone I ended up ugrading cos they gave me wrong advice about how to cancel.

So my shiny new phone arrived on monday but they havent sent the new sim card they promised would be sent.

My existing sim card doesn't fit and so i cant use it.

Now they wont send me a sim card so i asked to cancel. I was on the webchat and they told me if I go into a shop they will cancel and arrange return of the phone as they are unable to. After the wrong advice last time I dont actually believe them so am I wasting my time going to the shop tomorrow.

i am now stuck with a phone i cant use for two yrs!

They'll more than likely offer you a replacement sim when you get there...

Your local Vodafone Store will be able to replace the SIM card free of charge. When you are in store, just ask them to activate it for you so that you don't have to worry about doing it online.

Oh thank you. They were telling me the shop couldn give me a sim. Honestly the advisors just make it up as they go along! I will give it a go tomorrow see what happens

As long as it's your account (or you're named on it) the Vodafone store can swap the SIM out for you. Should be up to an hour for your number to swap over.
