He was picked on and mocked, and all from their leader Larry, now let me say this first, I think Larry could have won this game if he had taken on a different attitude, he has a good face though old and a way with him but he ruined it with his picking on Martin and trying to lead his followers to agree and side with him, He tried every trick in the book to get Martin voted off and it all backfired and why he was so upset at Jordan being booted, his pet Boy, and Danny his sidekick in crime.. this must have really grated on him and it was all downhill for Larry the Lamb after this happened... He in his la la world of thinking hes a big star was stunned when he was voted out .....and before Martin that put a big smile on my face. Karma and all that Larry. for whatever reason, Martin drained you of your power.. and good for him.

Actually, although Larry clearly didn't particularly like Martin - and vice versa - I really don't think his IACGMOOH experience was all about Martin.

What? You wouldn't like to hear more of his riveting stories like how he won his task?
I dread to think what his wife's going to be put through.
Me me me me me me me and meeeeeeee...............good old Martin
Do the public miss people after they're gone?
No I won't miss him, no he couldn't have won because he didn't get enough public votes and he was in the bottom two for 4 consecutive nights.
Out of who's left I'd like Sam to win and she's not one of the chosen 4 who've been given max airtime, Scarlett, Martin, Adam and Joel.
You're not very good at reading people.

I had never heard of him before, but when I saw how he was being ostracised in the camp, I had to back him. I never saw anything annoying in him either.

To be honest, I don't think he could have won - he just wasn't the crass IACGMOOH winner type.
Really annoying man who clearly is pampered and gets his own way all the time at home. He was a sore loser and a sulker who when he got feedback then cried and tried to turn people against the person who gave him feedback for his own good. Whe you are living with other people and behaving in a detrimental manner to the whole team you have to be told and he was never told harshly until he kept ignoring polite requests. He was lazy at the beginning too and wouldn't listen to what he was being advised about eating something to survive. Horrid know it all little man !

Maybe you've never experienced bullying yourself, which is great for you, but in that case, you won't understand how it has an effect on you all through your life.
If you let it! I have had terrible things happen to me in life but I bounce back after a time and strive harder . Most people do if they don't want to play victim.....he is 53 and has a great career and family. He was using it to gain sympathy.....people are causing Scarlet of all sorts but the most disingenuous campmates was definately Martin.

At first i thought he was really annoying and the way he got peoples nerves with his David Brent antics. But i started to see a person who was actually a funny campmate and a great character
Scarlett pretty well had it in the bag from the get-go if you look at the voting figures. IMO the only person who could catch her was Larry Lamb, but that depended on him being able to play Mike Shipman ( husband character from Gavin and Stacey) for 3 weeks but clearly he couldn't because as more of his natural character was exposed the voters saw a disconnect between the character and him and his fan base drifted away. For me this does knock on the head the idea of 'the chosen one' whose promotion in episodes in terms of narrating the story of the camp via the Bush Tekegraph propelled them artificially to win. Scarlett was ahead from the start, others had plenty of Bush Telegraph exposure but could not dent her lead. Arguably by giving her plenty of coverage the producers were just playing to the audience they perceived from the day on day voting figures i.e. giving the public what they wanted. People may not like that but at the end of the day their purpose is to have a hit to program that people want to watch so that they maximise advertising slots, which is how they make tbeir money - they are not a charity.

I know she has got a lot of negativity on this forum but she managed to make herself popular with both the viewing public and her fellow camp mates all of whom had nothing but praise for her as a person based on living with her 24/7. I don't believe someone could have faked who they really were to both the public and the camp for the entirety of the show, so IMO a worthy winner, even though I was rooting for Joel at the end.

We do only see a very small amount of their camptime. Based on this, I could see that Martin was ostracised and sidelined by the main bullies in the camp, Larry Lamb and Danny Baker. Baker is an aggressive bully who was accepted as a new campmate and one of their "team" whereas Martin was not. Lamb seems to be someone who is arrogant and grumpy and was able to manipulate most of the others into ostracising Martin. Perhaps Lamb should have appeared in the previous show with his ex-girlfriend Lady Colin Campbell! She would have cut him off at the knees!

Most of the others just stood aside in silence and said nothing. A lot of it seemed to start after Martin criticised Danny Baker for grandstanding after his team's win. He was sticking up for them, but got no backing whatsoever. Sam said "I didn't say anything." Scarlett said "I was just annoyed that we had lost." They were all weak and terrified of putting their heads above the parapet.

Joel was a sly one, trying not to say too much about Martin but his eye contact with Larry as he disparaged Martin told a different story. I heard Joel comment on how he felt "protective" of Martin but I thought I had seen no sign whatsoever of this. I presumed he was protecting his image for viewers and speaking to camera.

Adam was an attention-moron, battling to do as many trials as he could and to hell with the others. Wayne was an unpleasant gossip. Scarlett irritated me with her faux matieness and her strange glass eyes.

The only campmates I had time for were Ola, Carol and Lisa, and of course, Martin.

It was a foregone conclusion that the winning group would be those under thirty-five.

I found Joel a little disingenuous - and I truly liked him to begin with. I was glad at the end when Scarlett beat him. I think I even preferred Adam over Joel - Adam was just a knucklehead but harmless enough.

So when did you counsel Martin? Maybe you are his GP? You seem to know an awful lot about him. The thing with your "get a grip/bounce back" mantra is not everybody is you are they?
