Just briefly mentioned in that thread. I thought it deserved a thread of its own. It could be used to derail him and divest him of some female fans.
In fact the Mirror's source may have been instructed by Cowell if Cowell has changed his mind about Matt, which he appears to have done these last few weeks.
They seemed to drop the "girls absolutely love Matt" narrative they rammed down our throats every week at the start.
Cowell must be confused about who to back- the lead singer of 5am was tweeting about his solo projects yesterday- they won't stay together 6 months.

Now, if it's a tactc, then is the objective to sabotage his chances, or boost his vote? I wouldn't be so quick to assume they are trying to derail him, they could also be trying to get more gay votes and the superficial allies votes (you know the type, the ones who make a huge song and dance about being oh-so-progressive-and-non-judgmental).
Because of that I don't think this story has anything to do with Cowell. it's probably just someone trying to make a few easy quid from whispering rumours to the Daily Star.

Do people realise that as much Simon Cowell owns Simco, he doesn't call the shots on the show? There is a whole production team and ultimately, ITV makes the big decisions. Also, there is absolutely no evidence that these stories come from the production team.

He does not need stories to derail him - his weak voice and lack of stage presence should do that more than adequately

Do people realise that Cowell, who owns SyCo TV, is very hands on and made himself "Chief Executive Producer X Factor UK"? He calls the shots (even though he sometimes denies it). And people who have worked with him eg Piers Morgan have stated so.
However this leak may or may not have come from him.

That's a good point. So, why is he hiding his sexuality if it shouldn't matter. He should be open about his boyband past or sexuality like Saara.

Saying that someone is hiding something implies that you're somehow entitled to the information. He can do whatever he wants and sleep with whoever wants.
Sexuality has nothing do with personality. It just evaluative assessment of what sort of people you want to sleep with and it can change over time. If you've had even a slightly passionate or exciting lifestyle, you figure out it's not a simple issue. I've learnt to not make assumptions about people. It's the fairest way to treat people.

We dont know he is.people on here are guessing and even if he were in a very overcrowded showbiz closet that would be his business really.people have their own reasons for not coming out IE Ronaldo..I have no idea of his sexuality nor does it affect my opinion of him as a performer. Im not voting for who the guy shares his bed with.
Don't the XF 'Powers That Be' regularly erase the musical pasts of contestants? I'm pretty sure that it keeps cropping up every year how a contestant has previous 'form' as a singer, which was erased from the internet as soon as they got through to the lives. Basically, TPTB want us to believe that everyone on the live shows has never performed in public before, had a recording contract or made/released a record.
They want the viewers at home to believe anyone can walk in off the street and become a pop star, when the truth is that many of the contestants will have some kind of performing experience (be it pubs/clubs, holiday camps, cruise ships, musical theatre or in the pop industry).

The Daily Star is saying that Saara is gay which can't be right. Saara was in a relationship with a male before she met her now girlfriend. I would say that makes her bisexual unless she confirms that she's gay.

Yeah, there's far too many jumping to conclusions. The most truthful statement would be to say that she's in a relationship with a woman right now. That way no one's putting words in her mouth.
