A Sun article says that they insist that they've never been an item so I doubt it's them. Bratavio gave off a very strong vibe that they were attracted to the same sex. This is about two lads that don't make it blatantly obvious.

So you're saying that some or a lot of LGBT people only thing about sex? Seems like a sweeping generalisation. I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you didn't mean that. If you did, I'm not gonna flip out either. I can see how very obnoxious LGBT people could make you see it like that, but rest assured there are people from all different backgrounds.

I think what the person was trying to say was that monosexual people and especially people who call themselves 'heterosexual' might not understand first hand the experience of not being able to find a word that fits one own sexual experience. It's not to say that they're ignorant, they can understand it for sure. But they don't have necessarily a first hand experience to relate it to. The same is true of people who call themselves 'homosexual' straight up, they don't know what it's like to be bi. They're qualitiatively different things.

Sorry not my argument at all but I don't think that's what mmpfb was saying at all - my interpretation of his/her post is that you are both saying basically the same thing.

aw that's cute! although I'd personally have picked that one from judges houses? james hughes? I think, he seemed very cute

I actually think that this would only make him a lot more likeable, teen girls (who probably are his main demographic) wouldn't stop voting for him just because he might have something with another guy, and probably a lot of them would ship Matt with Freddy and vote even more.

Also, I always found his "sob" story about her girlfriend breaking up with him too cheesy and kind of annoying, so this would be a quite nice turn of events.

Haha may very well be. It's one of the problems of having debates on an internet forum. It'll be nice if we agree.

Daily Star said they met in bootcamp. Brtavio boys cooked chicken way before that.

Eh? Not at all. I'm gay and I think about tea more than I think about sex.

All I'm saying is that people have difficulty seeing beyond their own experience. So, if their experience is very black and white and unquestioning, they may well expect others to be very black and white too. If, however, your experience is of something a little more ambiguous, or fluid, or even if you just went through a formative period of attempting to convince yourself you could be straight because it would be 'easier' (as I did, at an older age than Matt FWIW), then you more readily understand that solid, unambiguous and unchanging sexual identifications for a lot of people are more complicated and tend to reveal themselves gradually rather than in some sort of grand epiphany.

Yeah, as the person above noted, we agree. Sorry for any confusion. Totally agree and sexuality changes for some people over the course of months or even days. People should avoid being so parochial about sexuality. My sexuality 100% can change based on who I'm around, how long it's been or how much I've drunk/what I've taken. It's a complex world.

There's been nothing but speculation from some people. No one owes you an apology. You're a really weird person.

Ultimately, if the lad didn't have the answer himself then imagine the immense sort of pressure he could be experiencing with all this.

Exactly, it's all pure speculation about it being Matt. People for some reason find it titillating.”

This is the bit I don't get. Most people who speculate on someone's sexuality aren't doing it as a witch hunt. They're doing it because they're nosy. I'd assume a lot of the speculators are gay themselves so it's more "who's in our club?". I don't think anyone truly cares. But they're interested. There's nothing wrong with being gay so there's nothing wrong with speculating.

There's something wrong with being nosey and trying to get an answer when they clearly don't want to give one. Speculation on this sort of thing is wrong because the answer isn't always straight forward. You shouldn't try to pressure people into outing themselves. I've said it many times before. There's no evidence for this, it's wrongful speculation. The poor lad. Just if he doesn't have an answer for himself, it must be horrible to have other people asking questions and speculating. It's just impolite more than anything.

Exactly. It's the modern day version of gossiping over the garden fence. It's always gone on it's just that the internet has brought the world into our back garden

Just because it's gone on a while, doesn't stop it from being extremely unsophisticated. There are moral questions about what sort of speculating is acceptable. It's also extremely to gossip about people. Surely your own lives will be exciting enough to not need gossip.

He's the only one with a voice and also great stage presence. What does his private life have to do with it??

It was obvious from early on in the live shows something was going on between Matt & Freddy.

disgraceful media though outing somebody in public.

A couples of weeks ago Louis was praising Matt and his performance and Simon made a comment like "well we all know why [you like Matt]"

I thought at the time Simon was insinuating Matt was gay, which is out of order.

i'm not sure this is true (it's the daily star after all) BUT i am seeing a lot of people on twitter and facebook say it's matt terry and jordan from 5am, i think that it's not matt and freddy because:

1. the article says "kept in touch during judges houses" that means they wern't together during judges houses but matt and freddy were so they didn't need to keep in touch

2. i may be alone on this, but the article makes it seem the two contestants are still in the show

3. matt and freddy are seen in so many photos on twitter etc so if they are dating then they ain't hiding it

Funny I've thought for a while there was an attraction between Matt and the singer from 5AM. Just a feeling. They seem very close to me... 💪🏼😍
I did wonder why Freddy was hanging around so much though. You don't really see much of the contestants immediately after they leave..

Also, I can't believe anyone is actually surprised that Matt might be gay
