On the contrary, us 'Remoaners' take the future of our country very seriously. We know what we are talking about. Anyone who threatens our future will be challenged very robustly...joke or otherwise.

This result was not the one that should have happened. We need to have another by-election and then hopefully we'll get the result we wanted. There has been a rise in hate crime since Sarah Olney was elected. A future without Zac Goldsmith will be an absolute disaster for our country. There is already a petition underway for a second by-election. This one was only advisory!
You really did not think this one out did you, nothing learnt from EU referendum, you know what repeating the same mistakes leads too... |

So the next false argument from the Remain group is the suggestion that a public vote is only valid when it's not permanent.
Which would of course means the UKs entry into the EEC/EU is not valid. However it is in fact valid, as is this more recent referendum, because the public were aware what voting Remain/Leave was all about. |

Then why do you want to allow uncontrolled immigration and allow the EU to tell us what to do?

There is still a long time until 2020, anything can happen before then. I can see May being deeply unpopular by then, and if any opposition can get its act together, the Tories will be decimated.
It would be the nastiest campaign you have ever seen and will probably be the death of the left/centre left for a very long time. You had better wish, the government wins. |

If the supreme court ruling goes against against the government, there may be a general election next year and the government will blame the remain camp for frustrating the will of the people.

Why do we have elections once someone is elected, the people have spoken so there's no need for another one.

If the govt lose the supreme court vote they will only have themselves to blame because they have attempted to behave in an undemocratic way/attempting to by-pass parliament. Not a good look for the govt. |

The terrible tories will not want a GE, an election they could well lose. Remainers won't vote for Brexit parties and neither will soft Leavers. Big business won't back the tories either. A weak govt is better for the country. It means it can't just do as it likes.
If the govt lose the supreme court vote they will only have themselves to blame because they have attempted to behave in an undemocratic way/attempting to by-pass parliament. Not a good look for the govt. Between 450 and 470 seats voted leave and a maximum of 200 backed remain. In a general election which side would win? And if the election had to be called as Lib Dem and Labour peers had blocked Brexit the public would be annoyed at the affront to democracy so it might be even bigger. Cos most remainers respect democracy and the result. |

There are two reasons why the Tories would win the election - Jeremy Corbyn and Tim Farron!

Leave. 350m, WWIII etc.
Unless the by election as magically turned it into an analogue for the country as a whole. Though looking at the by election result it is actually a 'no change'. |
