It's geared towards the youngsters now, some are ok though, others just plain annoying.

It was a young group last year in the final and it's going to be again.
Traditionally I'm a celebrity was the most popular show for the older has been to do well in, they tended to get the votes biggins, Blackburn etc. However the app type vote seems to be king on this show now as well but I don't think the show is that popular with younger viewers compared to older ones The five free 'app' votes is skewing the result to reflect younger viewers disproportionately It's the death throw of this particular realty show ( which, as you point out, has been a favorite of 'older' viewers ) I guess the £££ is King of the Jungle as far as the producers are concerned |

If that bit was true, why would they be encouraging people to use the FREE app vote?

So they can fix the result?
Please don't say it is to find a presenter for the Xtra Camp show. There is no law that says you have to win to be on that show. |

I'm well over 40 (that's young!) and voted for Martin and Sam via the app. i certainly wouldn't pay to vote and not interested in watching any more now that it's turned into kids tv.

They didn't put any vote worthy older males in - its not surprising people didn't vote for the most miserable, annoying people there. You keep them in, past their sell by date, in for the drama , but by the last few days, the camp is about harmony , final tasks and reflection, so its not surprising if they are then dumped.
The older females were hardly old, Lisa was just a bit older than the majority, and Carol didn't look any older. If you have a strong group and multiple comedians , there's very litle scope for a stronger older female, or an aging comedian type to shine - and neither of those, classic winning ,types was in there. With everyone strong on tasks , its not surprising that the strongest, and the funniest, gravitated to the end . The only issue is that the producers sidelined some comparable female contenders, to get where we have., and different focus in, and selections for, the tasks, could have made others shine. |

Surely winning the show would make her MORE expensive to hire? Why would ITV want to do that?

its a younger audience that watch the show and they simply vote for their own, they seem to do better in the trials too compared to the older contestants
