He wasn't really spoon feeding him. He was trying to draw some passion from him. Things he should have been able to be proud and convincing about. I think it showed Claude respected that commitment even if Courtney couldn't shout about it himself.

His interviews were better than the other four. For example he was put on the spot to come up with an idea and did a pretty good job at short notice.
bib - Such as F*ck Off Doormat for example.

And I big to differ regarding interviews because I thought he was dire.

But surely one of the perks of having a successful business is being able to reap some of the financial rewards. I don't think it's fair to expect every business person to survive on pennies so they can invest everything they have into their work. There has to be some balance.

Besides, Alana has already made it clear that she has invested money into her own business - just not to the extent that this sort of opportunity can bring.
His business isn't successful though, that's the whole point. If you start a new business then be prepared to put in ridiculously long hours for very little reward.

The problem with Alana was she was happy to let Lord Sugar put 250k into her business but seemingly not happy to put all of her savings in.

My original comments were both about Alana. What I was trying to say is that we shouldn't criticise her for having a large sum of money saved up from running a successful business.

I wish she would ditch the goth makeup. Makes her look teenage. Also if she's been saving up for a house since she was 16, has she actually saved more year year than house prices have gone up by? Doubtful if she's in the south.

Courtneys products are mainly just emojos on stuff, nothing unique and quite expensive.
Her lipstick is much too dark for her skin tone. It's quite distracting and not in a good way.

Alana's not in the south of England, she's in Wales...Aberwysyth or however it`s spelt.

Paperchase stock Courtney`s emoji coasters so he`s not doing too badly.

Don't feel like we ever got to see enough of Courtney to truly determine what he's like as a candidate. What we did see was mostly him being kinda bland and failing at sales/pitching. I do however feel like he is pretty clever with some creativity. It can't be solely down to luck that he's won so many tasks.

I think Samuel was hard done by in this series, he seemed like a really competent guy who made perhaps one error in not choosing to sell the high end boats(when he has experience of doing that). I think if he chose to do that he would have stayed and probably gone on to do well in the process.

He seemed a lot better than some of the others who made it to the later stages of the process.

It was Karthik, iirc, that made that particular goof. Samuel was a bit of a loose cannon, selling things at different prices than the team... and who can forget that cycle mime
