EE - Shirley
Now she doesn't spend her days fawning over Mick or Phil I'm beginning to like her. She is very neglected though, I hope she gets used more in 2017. With Linda going, I wonder if Shirley will take more control of the Vic?
Do you think she will ever find out about Kathy and Buster? |

I'm all for seeing more of Shirley - one of my favourite characters.
She has been underused lately so hope she has a storyline coming up soon. |

Shirley is fabulous. Always has been, always will be. I've always felt she was at her best as a double act...her comic timing is second to none. I still think she'd work well with Kathy, someone who could benefit from having a friend who could liven her up. I always like her in the Vic, she's an atypical barmaid...no busty blonde flirting with the customers. They're much more likely to be treated to one of her sarky one liners.
I hope we see her back in the Vic in Linda's absence. And more scenes with Ben and Denise please. |

2016 has been a very quiet year for her but I hope 2017 is the year she's brought back to the forefront.
I really enjoyed Shirley and Carmel's scenes yesterday and I would like to see them develop a friendship but I think she works well as a lone character. She is Mick's mother but I wouldn't blame anyone if they forgot about her link to Mick (they don't have many scenes together). it'd be great to see her become more involved with her family soon because it doesn't feel like she's part of the family. |

BIB IMO SOC was wise to drop that story line like a hot potato and hope it never gets mentioned again because I quite like the Kathy/Shirley friendship/dynamic.
I don't think there are any plans to revisit Shirley and Kathy's friendship which is a pity but Kathy has other friends which is positive news for the character. I would like to see Kathy show some appreciation to Shirley for being a mother figure to Ben when he was a teenager because Phil wasn't father material and she was always there to pick up the pieces and she accepted him as one of her own. |

It's nice she's had a quiet period however i hope she has a big 2017 . Particularly with Linda Going on a break. More scenes with Mick would be good.

I wonder if they will show her reaction over Denise carrying Phils baby? I hope they do but I hope it's not the end of their friendship.

The Shirley Creature's only friend is the bottle, and she belongs in the gutter.
Thanks. |

I'd prefer Shirley to work in the R&R that sort of setting is more like her!
