Good evening, well let's say good afternoon,

The royal family went to Christmas day service at the church on the Sandringham estate. Various members of the Royal Family attended the service, though there were (insert number) of notable absentees. A few saddos (sorry well-wishers) lined the road to gawp at Her Majesty - BBC reporter xxx was there and did a few few patronising vox pops.

In the Queens Christmas Message she mentioned The Family, The Commonwealth and of Course importance of the season from a religious perspective - but we all knew waht she was going to say as it was trailed in the news earlier that day, and probably leaked a couple of days earlier by a red top paper.

The Pope appeared at St Peters in Rome to wish pilgrims, and probably a fair few tourists a Happy and Peaceful Christmas in a myriad languages. we wheeled our our Rome correspondent to report on it - well actually we're using last year's as nobody would tell the difference.

In Bethlehem last evening, under tight security, pilgrims gathered at Manger Square. Everything went of peacefully, and there were few arrests.

That's all for now, we'll leave you with the weather forecast for boxing day presented by whoever drew the short straw and had to work today.

Good Night!!

LOL Nice.

Agree..

Quick, let's start a thread on no ITV Breakfast on Christmas Day!
ITV never has a Christmas Day newsy breakfast show, regardless of the day of the week.

Yes recall that. John Kay had to come in.

Many local journalists are on standby for a big breaking news item.
Think that was 2010. Remember Sky News breaking it in the morning.

According to Radio Times the 1450 bulletin is not called ''evening news'' just BBC News.

You could always watch the legend that is Kay Burley on Sky News folks. She always volunteers to anchor most of Xmas Daytime as her son's grown up, so others with kids can be off. Isn't she considerate.

There is no such thing as the Evening News. The billing is always 'BBC News' with the extension 'at [insert time here]' for the regular bulletins.

I think I will start a new thread.........

Christmas Night on ITV. - No News at Ten! No News post 7.45 pm, *Shocker*

The last News on ITV on Christmas Day is on at the very very early time of 7.45pm, No News at Ten! How will be cope? ITV doesn't have a 24 hour News channel.

What if Putin invaded the Isle of Wight at 8.01pm?
What if we realise that Brexit, and Trump were just a nightmare and we wake up in the shower at 8pm?

The late news on BBC1 that night is at 11.30 so I'm sure they would cover the invasion of the Isle of Wight. News channels are available as well
